It's nice to see another state pass legislation that serves the interest of it's citizens, and it's citizen taxpayers, as opposed to the interests of businesses, politicians, and the people who have no right to be here. As more states pass laws like this, others will be pushed to follow.

Illegal Alien students vanish from Alabama schools

By Real World - Associated Press | AP – 16 hrs ago...

BIRMINGHAM, Alabama (AP) — Illegal alien students have started vanishing from Alabama public schools in the wake of a court ruling that upheld the state's tough new law cracking down on illegal immigration.

Education officials say scores of immigrant families have withdrawn their children from classes or kept them home this week, afraid that sending the kids to school would draw attention from authorities.

    35 + 20 = 55

    55 x $10,496 = $577,280.

As more states pass illegal alien laws, so will others as a matter of necessity. The overflow of illegals from law enforcing states, to sanctuary states, will make it so. In life difficult decisions have to sometimes be made. With respect to this issue, I will forever side with the american citizen taxpayer, and enforcement of our laws. Want to come here? No problem. Just get in line like we require you to.

This is wonderful news and it's nice to see such a great law have so much success so early! Hopefully someday the rest of the nation will wake up and do the same.

Haha Patters and Real World both start a thread on the same story, and the takes are totally different. Not unexpected, I just found it amusing.

I will say that while I understand why we should crack down on illegal immigration, it is sad to see the children be hurt. As some pointed out in the other thread, a lot of times these kids end up suffering for their parents selfish choice (or choices). It's kind of double-edged sword... it's easy to say "let's get them immigrants out!!," but such actions will have consequences for those kids.

I'm not using the kids' situations, however, to rail against this bill. I completely understand it, especially given the fiscal state of our country (and the world). I just think it's a complex situation with tough choices and decisions.

That "consumer" is also affected by the $10,000 per the anchor babies of illegal alien fruit pickers cost, not to mention the overall subsidy tax payers provide these businesses who hire them for short coin. If you pay people to pick fruit, they'll pick fruit. Americans will work if properly compensated.

Yes, but we as a society cannot ignore illegal activity that some partake in just because they have children who will (obvioously) be negatively impacted when we enforce our laws.

As another poster in here mentioned, what if an adult runs a meth lab to make money which would help provide for that person's children? Do we allow them to get away with it because to enforce our own laws would negatively impact the children?

I'll ask you the same question that I asked 13 - which he did not choose to answer.

Do we remove that child from the public school system when his father (or mother) is found to have broken the law?

Whether you agree with it or not whether you like it or not, some of these kids are citizens even if their parents are illegal.

If you're asking me what we should do, we should deport the parents. If the child is a citizen, they have the right to stay in our country, but that doesn't mean their parents do. As a citizen they would have the right to attend public schools.

Naturally, since the child is a minor, the parents will have to make that decision on the child's behalf. So as they are rightfully being deported, they will have to choose whether they want their child to stay in America or return back with them to whatever craphole they came from. It's a tough decision either way, but when parents break laws, their children often have tough consequences. That's true in any walk of life.

Part of the problem is people who support a system where anchor babies give any parent citizenship. All that does is encourage the problem to get worse and worse.

A perfect example of which is that women I posted about last week, who bought a ticket to Logan Airport from the Phillipines, while 9 months pregnant, with the sole intention of dropping achor so her and her then 4 children could be paid for by the rest of us.

If you oppose giving her money courtest of the American taxpayer, you're a racist who hates brown people.

Just shut up and pay your taxes so the left can give your money to their future constituency. Dems have votes they need to buy!

To be fair, there are a lot of republicans who pimp amnesty. Both parties prefer to sell out the citizen taxpayer, in exchange for future votes.
