Al Qaeda Sends a Message to Democrats

    December 22, 2006 2:28 PM

Brian Ross and Hoda Osman Report:

Al Qaeda has sent a message to leaders of the Democratic party that credit for the defeat of congressional Republicans belongs to the terrorists.

In a portion of the tape from al Qaeda No. 2 man, Ayman al Zawahri, made available only today, Zawahri says he has two messages for American Democrats.

"The first is that you aren't the ones who won the midterm elections, nor are the Republicans the ones who lost. Rather, the Mujahideen -- the Muslim Ummah's vanguard in Afghanistan and Iraq -- are the ones who won, and the American forces and their Crusader allies are the ones who lost," Zawahri said, according to a full transcript obtained by ABC News.

"And if you don't refrain from the foolish American policy of backing Israel, occupying the lands of Islam and stealing the treasures of the Muslims, then await the same fate," he said.

Okay Mr. Terrorists whatever you say. We are after all, the party of appeasers.

Funny, how Al Qaeda and the American right-wing are using the same reasoning. I guess they're both terrorists. Both cause the death of Americans and Iraqis, and both helped to destroy Iraq.

Patters, if we wanted to destroy Iraq, it would look like Hiroshima did around August SEVENTH of 1945.

Exactly. If we merely wanted to flatten it, we wouldn't be there right now, building schools, hospitals, and water treatment facilities. Unlike our actions in past wars, this time we're not leveling and leaving. We're actually trying to help rebuild.

Anyhow, I think people underestimate how savy our enemies are.

yeah, ok Baghdad Bob... just like our forces were crushed and thrown back into the sea....

ummm... when there's a bombing in the Middle East, some 8-12 groups call to claim responsibility for it every time... their suggestion of responsibility for the midterms rings equally as hollow, and laughable... zzzz... but of course, our Bunkers here will use it as a rallying point... how predictably reactionary...

Sorry, but Al Qaeda sits about 50th in a list of 50 reasons why this country voted for change... Good try, though...

Appreciated... i see little-to-none of such astute posting from the half-dozen members remaining among the "hail war" crowd.... All we get from Bunkers are deflection, circle talk, vague parallels and our favorite: "Blame Clinton...."
