I was just thinking while I read another thread how we have all adopted players that, as individuals, we really think would become good Patriots. On a baseball message board they "adopt a prospect", and the poster starting a thread is responsible for giving as much information as possible regarding that prospect including: scouting reports, visits, up to date reportage, draft status, rumors.
You would also have to be ready to defend this prospect as a good Patriot selection up until Day 1 of the draft. What do you think?

Sure, if others are interested...I seem to be the informal guardian of Josh Gattis anyway, might as well make the adoption official!

I will try to give him a good home...

I pick Brian Robinson from Texas. I think he may be Vrabelish, potential to play hand down, hand up and even at ILB with some training.

I thought it was Jeff Rowe.

    I suppose I qualify for a good half-dozen, don't I. I love all my children equally.

Could they be players we like but not necessarily for the Patriots?

You'd have to fight PatsFan for him I think. Anyway, my thought is just start a thread w/ Adopt a Prospect/ John Doe. First come, first served. If the moderators want to fold new threads into ours, that's cool. Basically any info on that one particular potential draftee I think should go into the thread to keep the board clean. For Dry Heat, Box o' Rocks, Patschick, sebman, patsfan and all those others who post avidly in the thread, maybe we can do two 1st day, two 2nd day, otherwise it might get out of hand.

I'll take Chris Houston, Marcus McCauley, Antwan Barnes, and Quincy Black.

How are we going to organize this?

You go to it. Create Bios. Add links. Have fun. And don't take anything personally (I am just speaking generally). Good luck w/ 4 MavFan.
