Makes this McDaniels fan very happy :

Though he'd like to be an HC again one day, Pats OC Josh McDaniels notified teams Monday he will remain in NE, not interview for HC jobs now

Somewhere out there, NEM is smashing his head on a desk and maverick4 is crying.

That's awesome news, even though I wasn't expecting him to. Hope he sticks around a few more years.

Looks like someone learned his lesson. Who wouldn't want to stick around for 3-4 more years with TB

If he learns a few things about defense, I wouldn't mind him sticking around for a couple of decades. ;)

What an effect NEM had on this board. It's amazing how he lives on!

I wouldn't either. Question is, will he stay an assistant long enough until BB finally retires

    1. He was almost a complete idiot.

    2. He keeps signing up for accounts under other names.

I'm convinced that McDaniels is in line to take over for BB in a few years.

He had some bad misses but his picks of Moreno, Thomas, Decker and a couple OL are looking better now.

Caserio/McDaniels combo? I'd take it. BB as a special advisor.

As they're best friends I'm sure they'd love it. I love Josh but I think he'll move on before Bill retires unless Bill surprises me and walks soon. I think he has at least 5 more year left.

With London Fletcher as the DC and Brian Polian as the ST coach!

Don't forget Maroney and Chad Jackson. It was McDaniels who pushed them on BB and over-road the scouting staff and caused Daboll to walk.

I'd like Vrabel as the DC over Fletcher..

No Polians allowed in New England.

I know - I'm just saying his reputation from his Denver days is a little skewed based on Tebow and Moreno but the Moreno pick looks at least decent now. Tebow not so much although I'd like to be able to be in an alternate universe and see how he'd have done had Josh stayed and tried to develop him.
