I don't post anything to patsfans, however I am a daily reader and enjoy many of the posts. However, this just "frosts my cubies" and I don't think anyone has posted this yet.

I was listening to the Opening Drive on Sirius yesterday morning. Bob Papa, I believe, metioned the statswere in the morning paper along with the records up to that point. He said that New England was on top of the AFC East with a record of 3-0. He also said that there was an * beside New England's name, like the ones when some clinches a playoff spot. Behind the * in the key/legend were the words caught cheating.

I know...I know... Let it go. But when "reporters" (notice the quotes) print things like this, they should be called out. What a bunch of punks!

Thats what sad fanbases of horrible franchises that should be contracted do.

Make excuses for being losers.....

They will put 4-0* next week after we beat the Brownies also....

why bother reading that tabloid rag anyway? Pick up a Sun and youll get as much news as that trash.

With that eyesore of a football team its all they have to cling to. Which I do love to see. Because when you see something as juvenile as this YOU KNOW its getting under their skin. :rocker:

It was amusing the first week, but really lame and stupid if it keeps going.

Well, we all know the NY Post has an * by it's name as well.....caught impersonating an actual newspaper.

I want them to keep it going. It will look really funny at 18-0* while the Jets are sitting at 1-14*

If only the Patriots didn't cheat, the Jets would have won another game.

Um...but you guys were caught cheating? They took a first round pick right? I think your a great football team regardless of cheating but you did get caught.

Buffalo Bills.

Umm as patfanken highlighted earlier, the commissioner said there was "no competitive advantage." Thus no cheating. We only broke a rule about where you can have video cameras for the purpose of taping opponent's coaches.

I agree. It is pathetic to continue to do this. I wonder if they put next to Jason Giambi's stats an asterick and put at the bottom "Caught using steriods".

I agree, I would laugh the first time, but it's a little weird if they do this every week. But the Post is a tabloid-y time paper anyway, it's not the Washington Post.

Really, no sh*t, they took a first round pick? Why doesn't anyone let me know these things!

It's the New York Post, folks, they consider "Iraqi Head Seeks Arms" to be a clever headline.

Someone should just blow that paper up anyway...it's useless to society!

I really need a guitarist and a singer....

The Ballad of The Great Mangina

They never gave a ring to Runo Mahe
Nor to the sobbing Donovan McNabb
Despite their histrionics and excuses,
Their super bowl performances were drab

They never gave a ring to Philip Rivers,
And I suspect that’s never going to change
Despite his cry of “act like you have been there,”
The Chargers barely ever were in range

But imagine their elation
When the scion of Jets Nation
Explained it all with cameras and tape
Well, beggars can’t be choosers,
And second chances for the losers
Will always sell like lobster on the cape

Now the man-boys crying “meanie!”
Gather ‘round The Great Mangini,
From Philadelphia down to Carolina
They’re comforted by tales they’re spinnin’
While the Patriots keep winnin’,
And raise a glass to the great Mangina

Now the Patriots admitted their infractions,
Bill Belichick broke down and apologized
McNabb’s protection broke down ‘gainst the giants
And Lady Tomlinson broke down and cried

The woulda shoulda coulda champion Panthers
Are p u s s y cats, come each Sunday morn
And need the Rams by now be even mentioned,
Except to quote “A Dynasty Is Born”?

But the media said maybe
This quarterback named Brady
Never really won a super bowl
And the NFL is littered
With teams that died to buy him glitter
And they want to give him life with no parole

But ain’t it just a bit astounding
That the ones who took the pounding
Are the very ones who turned the biggest whiners?
But then beggars can’t be choosers
And second chances for the losers
Are stock in trade for the Great Mangina

So tell Hines Ward, Jerome Bettis,
We’ll play him angry if he’ll let us,
In Foxboro or Pittsburgh, or China
And I wouldn’t bet the farm
On the Jets Chad Punyarm
Nor place a wager on the Great Mangina

It'll be 5-0* if NE beats the Browns.

The head:D lines are the best part of the rag.Known as the NYPost
