I know it's for charity and not affiliated with the Pats but a sendoff? Good bye, good luck, and make sure the door doesn't hit you in the ass.:D

Good luck in Indy Adam and have fun at your party. I just hope you don't slip and fall down the stairs injuring yourself so that you are unable to kick anymore.:D

    THINK of SOMETHING

It is for a great cause, but nothing would make me happier than if NO ONE showed up. How about if we pledge double the money if he stays away?

With other players there, I think a nice message of thanks for the memories Adam now GO AWAY you traitor would be great.

Something needs to be thought of or done, for AV to think he can take the money and run while sticking it to all of his fans here and still be a hero here would make me sick.

Good then, hopefully Vinatieri will end up like this after his "Get the f--- out of here, traitor" party.

I am waiting for the crowd reaction in Indy, the first time he misses a field goal...he is going to wish he stayed with the Pats.

I too would love it if nobody showed. As mentioned, it's a good charity, and you can find information on donating directly to it at:
http://www.americangenerosity.com/JoeyFund/donate.htm so you can help the Joey Fund without feeding the Uberstein/Snoop Dog/McGinest media machine.

You guys think they play this game for their health?

The team is the team, so that's where the loyalty goes. But it's a business. It's a business for the players too.

Three super bowl seasons didn't just vanish. AV isn't going to be erased from your Three Games to Glory DVD. He still did everything he did here, and now he wants out.

It would be fine with me if he stayed, but he didn't. So thanks Adam, and good luck pumping up those numbers in the dome. Yeah, we'll beat you in the playoffs now, count on it - but until then, enjoy the ride!

Right and just a soon as he's not wearing that Colts uni anymore, I'll respect him again.

Right now he's a traitor and the enemy. His choosing not mine.

Agree with all of the proposed sendoffs in this thread.

Why in the heck would any Pats fan go to an event featuring a member of the Indianapolis Colts? This makes no sense at all.

    Adam Vinateiri? Screw you!

I'm not one who is trying to re-write history saying AV wasn't a very good kicker, but this is just freakin ridiculous and has the potential to get ugly. Hope they have plenty of security.

I wonder if The Traitor will get the multiple standing ovations the guys on NEST think he'll get when he shows up at The Blade in Blue and White. I won't be there but he wouldn't get a standing O from me. Not without boos accompanying it, anyway.

No one is trying to say AV isn't awesome and deserve tons of credit for what he has accomplished. I think I speak for all of us when I say we haved loved watching him and appreciated what he is done. That does not mean, however, that we should just smile and waive as he turns his back, leaving us in the dust for our most hated rival as he chases after the almighty $$$$.

Absolutley, part of me will always be a fan of AV for all that he did for us. On the other hand I feel betrayed in that not only that he left, but to the colts of all teams.

I think its much worse when you lose the type of player that we've lost this offseason. When a player doesn't show a solid commitment to the team concept and makes it clear that they come first its not a suprise when they leave for more money. When a guy says "team team team" his whole time with you and then all of a sudden says "me" once they can get a couple more million it feels like they lied about what they cared about. I know that theres no reason they cant be loyal to the team when theyre with them and care about only themselves when their contract is up, but I also think it says something about their character.

Well, whatever on the party.

I still think the Colts PAID for a NEW CLUTCH and will find they have bought a heavily used and damaged one when they open the box. ?

Personally I don't think the clutch will last the year, it's going to start slipping bad. We shall see though.?

    :agree:

Do you ever wonder how players could ever leave loyal and appreciative fans like us for mere millions? I don't. All Adam gave us was 10 years of a possible 15 year career (the final third of which our franchise was reluctant at best to pay him for) and three Lombardi's. Yet we expected more. And come to think of it, I guess he did too! I'm glad at least one of us got what we wanted. Adam got an indoor deal and we got... Gramatica... :eat1:

Firstly, this is kind of interesting..I wonder if it will be covered in the news..or just make it into the Herald's gossip pages...(I actually wonder who will be there from the club; the mood and such of it all..) But interesting to note that BB will be speaking tonight and will not attend.....LOL...

We'll just imagine a bad injury resulting from the celebration, and that can be our Grammaticon from here on in. Now if he actually gets on the field next season and wins us a game, we know what to do.
