No, she isn't the Senate Majority Leader. She's actually better off than the Senate Majority Leader because at least she's still employed. He may very well not be when all is said and done.

Looks like the Dems will hold onto the Senate. Good we got the major pieces of legislation passed already. Republicans have a poor track record in taking away any liberal initiatives -- be it Social Security, Medicare/Medicaid, minimum wage, 40 hour work week, child labor laws, OSHA, civil rights, hate crimes legislation, Family Leave Act, abortion rights, etc. I guess we're in a two-year period of do-nothing government.

And it's those "pieces of legislation" which have led to Republican gains unseen in over a half a century.

This is a crushing defeat for the liberal agenda. Americans have resoundingly defeated the things Obama has done to damage our great nation.

A tremendous victory for all of us - God bless America!

No, it's not a crushing defeat for the liberal agenda, especially given that the Republicans did not run on a platform, just vague promises to cut spending and inconsistent talk about other initiatives. Yes, God Bless America. The Senate is still Democratic and the White House is still occupied by Obama.

60 House seats swing. That's more than in 1994. And every single Democrat in the Senate is going to be running scared from Barack Obama.

It is nothing less than a devastating blow to the left. Absolutely devastating.

Repeat after me: Speaker Boehner. Speaker Boehner. Speaker Boehner. :rocker: :rocker:

many of the Democrats who lost were Blue Dog Democrats to the right of Obama, many of whom did not vote for health care reform, among other issues. The Democrats are actually going to be more liberal while the moderate Republicans are going to be caught between a rock and a hard place. The Tea Party is not loved by the Republicans, so it should be interesting to see how it plays out. At any rate, you can talk about your love of Boner, but frankly, Obama is still President and the Senate is still controlled by Democrats. LOL. :rocker: :rocker: A big defeat for the Democrats? Yes. But, by no means the worst case scenario.

But a loss for MA. I'll never understand why people who work for a living want to reelect someone who has raised their taxes and will raise them even more. It just baffles me. Want affordable housing? Lower property taxes. Want the economy to improve? Lower the sales tax. Well congrats MA voters. Now'll you'll get a nice gas tax bump too. If you're real lucky the sales tax will be bumped to 8%. Thank God I live on the NH border. It's were I will buy my next house too. People of MA are just too whacked.

Too many deadbeats, dependents, and drones down here. At some point it will change. Unless of course we become like NY or California.

That's quite a statement considering the source. If I said that to you, I'd be banned.
