As a Civil Servant of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, I would like to give thanks for: -the emigration of our cousins to lands far, far away -those less desirable cousins staying in those lands and not coming back -the drop in tourism which leads to fewer of said cousins being loud, complaining and standing around the streets of London whilst the rest of us try to go about our business -those cousins not exporting some of their more questionable products, such as grits, cinnamon toast and flavoured bacon However, Her Majesty has (not) instructed me to give thanks for: -Sam Adams Beer -Football -Metallica and many others -teh interwebs (oh, wait. A Brit invented that) - patsfans and patriotsplanet -the introduction of coffee shops. They in themselves may not be the best quality but they have encouraged an increase in the supply of this essential product -your supporting role in helping us to kick the Nazis' arses in WW2. Finally, Her Majesty has (not) instructed me to apologise to the native Americans for the drop-off in Buffalo meat, the rather higher price of accommodation and the introduction of a (butchered version of a) foreign language. Sorry and thanks. Oh and happy thanksgiving.
