I went to the Ravens/Pats 2010 playoff game...sat ten rows back from the field in 118....after the game I logged on here and read analysis of what I can only describe as another game altogether. I could see the entire field, all 22 players..and I saw Ed Reed, a few seconds before the snap, gesture wildly to the Pats side of the field, come down from the box and SIT right on the WR with a corner right there too...Brady takes a ONE STEP DROP...and rifles the throw to the sideline...3 yard loss....Reed hit him as he was catching the ball....NOBODY here in the game threads had any idea of how this play looked when viewed in total, until a bunch of us logged on afterwards...search it out if you don't believe me.
This All-22 would have been perfect to illustrate this particular play....how Reed made the pre-snap read so fast and with so much emphasis...the ridiculous look of a one step drop/3 yard loss on a sideline pass. We could have looked at the entire formation and found out what he keyed on and why...it's something I ALWAYS want to know.
Plus there's the pick issue...just how many illegal picks in the passing game will we REALLY see with All-22...another thing I REALLY REALLY want to know that you just can't get from a telecast.
