Thanks and right back at ya. I can barely get anything typed to respond with an 18-month old rambunctious little bundle of energy running circles around the house. That boy never stops until he crashes. Now I know what my father was talking about.

Wait until you have a teenager or two..... I'm glad my dad was able to see 3 Super Bowl championships before he died ( one would have been enough...) and one World Series trophy. He was a Patriots fan first and foremost from 1960 on, having had his heart broken by the Sox too many times. He spoke what I think was the funniest line after the Sox finally won in '04. When I called and asked what he thought of it, he shrugged it off and told me not to get too excited because "it will be another 86 years before they do it again".. He didn't get to see '07 but he did get to see the brightest years to date of the Patriots run.........

    Happy Father's Day to all......

    No Jersey Selected

    Thanks and same to you.

My wife is in Vermont working on her MFA in writing, so I'm juggling work and the 3 youngsters (luckily I can work from home when I want). She's gone for 2 weeks (we're 5 days into it), and she's never been away for more than 2 days before. We miss her but it's been fun for the kids and me so far, with all of the bonding and takeout food. It's also inspired my 10 year old to start a swear jar.

Yes, Happy Fathers day to all. The best thing about it is that I don't have to stress about getting cards and presents for someone else.:rocker:

Thank you, and you and all the others, too.

I plan on visiting, and spending a few moments, with my father today at Holy Cross Cemetery where he is buried.

The sad story of Tim Russert's passing this week and his close ties with his dad, and his son, really got me to do some thinking.

I received phone calls today from two of my sons and my daughter, but two of my sons did not call and it saddened me.

Anyway, happy fathers day to all.
