How about this: a 2 TE formation with Moss on the outside and Welker as the #2 receiver (rather than stallworth) playing in the slot. That would give brady better protection, allow TE's to go into passing routes (chipping the DE's first of course), give us a great power running formation (welker has been a great blocker, even against LB's too!) allow our two best WR's out there (with Moss clearing the long routes and welker owning the LB's in the underneath routes).
It seemed early on we were in the spread formation thinking we could handle freeney and mathis one on one... but then they gassed out later and couldn't get the pass rush. I think that's what we should do, more two TE sets first, then spread formation later when they're tired.
