Thinking: "Hmm, I wonder if that Chinese place will deliver to the locker room."

We actually did better than I thought we would on Kick coverage last night. Wind was definately a factor.
Our take: Pats hope to spark another late-season collapse for the Jets
As last night’s score moved from 31-3 to 38-3 and Tom Brady kept throwing the ball until it was 45-3 and then he remained in the game — and threw passes — until the Pats’ left drive with less than three minutes to play, we began to wonder whether the Patriots were giving the Jets extra motivation for a postseason rematch.
And then we realized what the Patriots were trying to do. They want to avoid a rematch.
By demoralizing the Jets, who next play the Dolphins, Steelers, and Bears before traveling to Buffalo, we think the Patriots have tried to spark a tailspin that will knock the Jets out of the playoffs completely. It happened most recently to the Jets in 2008, when 8-3 became 9-7 and the Jets missed the postseason and their head coach got fired.

6. Probably will go unnoticed, but our kick-off coverage isn't very good right now. I know we had one really goofy KO that ended up on the 50, but Graham's leg isn't that strong and we're not getting the touch backs we once were. The wind may have also been a factor last night too, but this is something that we just need to keep an eye on going forward. Luckily we had a lot of practice last night.

HUH?? The kick coverage was AWESOME last night. Brad Smith, who WAS the leading return man in the league with over 29 yards per return, was held to 20 yards per return on the night. Something to consider, also, is that there were 2 kicks that were abberations. The short kick that BB clearly called for and then the last one of the night.. And even the last one, the Pats held Smith to only a 20 yard return.
As for Woodhead, he is likely quicker than Faulk, (40 time of 4.33 to 4.48), which means he should be able to lose defenders once he get by him, but he likely will not be as good breaking tackles given the weight difference of 25 or so pounds. Woodhead is not being used in the same way as Faulk was used (Faulk was a true 3rd down back), and appears to be benefiting from significantly better blocking than Faulk was used to getting downfield. In terms of long-term solutions, Woodhead has done a great job in his 10 games, but he isn't even in the neighborhood of Kevin Faulk until everyone on the defense knows the ball is going to him and still cannot stop him.
