We shall see how well these young perform when the first whistle blows on Sunday.

In BB's interview today (5:15 pm, WEEI), he let it be known that there will likely be more moves to come.

If O'neil pans out, and the rookies play like they've been playing it should be a good season. Thank god for a good draft this year.

I agree..I do like it especially the youth...BUT what is GOOD is that it will get even better!! THAT is the sriving for perfection and an even better roster..

I'm looking forward to seeing the young guys especially. There's a good chance he won't be active for the game, but Guyton should be fun to watch on ST with his size and speed.

With Guyton's ability we may see more of him than just on ST.

Since Hobson is gone, I'm wondering who the 3rd ILB will be in the Brushci rotation? It would have to be Guyton, no? He'll get live reps which will really speed up his development.

Seems likely.

The only thing I'd really like to see is Neal back and Seau to replace Alexander. I think we have enough ST mavens that Alexander needs to start contributing to the ILB rotation.

Not necessarily. A. Thomas could move inside with Woods or Crable lining up outside.

I think this is one of the better practice squads we've had in awhile - which says something about the caliber of the roster... though I'd feel better if our Defense didn't seem to be making a lot of mistakes and having sloppy play.

Is it at all odd there's no PS QB?

Also, I hope they don't move AD inside. Alexander needs to get his shtuff together or we need to replace him straight up, imo. I think he and Jones are on a real fragile bubble when guys start getting re-activated. That said the third TE or fluff Olinemen might be moving along when our main fellas get reactivated too.

Just keep AD outside. It's his natural habitat. Don't make me call PETA (people for the ethical treatment of athletes)!

A good draft?

Do you have a crystal ball in front of you because I see nothing except for some good plays in worthless preseason games

Lets see how good a draft it is if the rookies play well ...in late January if we get that far

Vrabs can play inside as well but then you lose outside pressure. A.Thomas was a much better player last year on the outside and I'd like him to stay there.

Pats don't really have a 3rd ILB rotation. Less than half their defensive snaps involve 2 ILBs, so they don't need a rotation.

I'm curious why Ventrone is listed as a safety, while he is clearly a receiver now.
I wish we had another guard and a different backup tackle to replace Britt. However, I LOVE the defense right now. There is so much speed on there it's scary. I really think we will see Guyton contribute on defense. I feel like he will be on the field in passing situations where Bruschi will come off. If Bruschi or Mayo goes down for some reason, I expect them to move AD/Vrabel inside, but I expect Guyton to be the guy to spell the two starting ILBs for a few plays when needed. He's a very exciting player, IMO, because of his unprecedented speed for a ILB.
Also, I don't think Crable will play much at first, but I would love to see him in pass coverage on third downs. I don't trust him setting the edge yet, but in passing situations, he has good speed and does a great job getting in passing lanes, something Vrabel struggled with in the second half of last year.

I'd rather see Neal and Seau heal and rest, respectively, as long as possible and come locked and loaded around Thanksgiving in "preseason" for Week 18 (bye hopefully), 19, 20, and 21.

Perhaps because he has never caught a pass in an NFL game and probably won't any time soon.
