Wow, this really sucks that we have no ****** run game to attack them with. Damn I hate injuries.

Hey, maybe the rook green acres has a game breaker. Slater has been a disappointment for me as I thought he would have some good run backs.

The Pats still have Faulk. The colts will not put up much a battle. I bet this game is over by half time.

Well, at least it's good to see they're not rushing anything.

Which I wouldn't expect of our staff anyways.

Hey, BJGE might come up big. Anyone here remember a few years back when our RB corps was so depleted that we had to play Mike Cloud, and he had a monster game? Wasn't it against Miami? My mind is a little off tonight from the meds for my cold... but I remember Cloud coming in and putting up some big numbers.

Against Tennessee in 03....BUT I agree..I think this will be Cassel's day to shine..and Green-Ellis's chance to play big as well.

No suprises here. In fact you might as well prepare for the same news next week against Buffalo. As good as Morris is I think it's time to part ways with him and get someone who can stay on the field for more than 1/4th of the games he's under contract for. 9 years in the league and he has 1 season of 100+ carries. Great runner, but in the long run just a waste of roster spot/cap space. And Jordan is looking like the same story.

F*ck it, if BJGE shows he can stay healthy as a downhill runner let him carry the rock and spend a mid rounder next year on someone to split carries. Maroney is worth keeping around just in case he manages to avoid the IR. Guy can go the distance on any down. Either way, with Brady in this offense RB is probably the most dispensable position on either side of the ball. Just get someone who can stay on the f*cking field and not waste our cap space.

    Secret weapon: Ray Ventrone?

Sucky, but I'd rather see them both in next weeks Divisional game than here, if I had to pick one or the other.

So much for Slater returning kicks instead of Hobbsie to mitigate against further injury. Slater...made of glass?

WOW.. I bet you were one of those people saying the Pats should cut Faulk also..

Morris is signed through next year. He's not on the IR so he'll play again this year. To say he's a waste of a roster spot is a joke.

Who would you have them have in there? Ron Dayne? Verron Haynes?

maybe BB feels that we can be effective against the colts run D with Faulk and not risk injury to Jordan. We need Jordan for the Bills, Jets and Dolphins. This is a less meaningful game for us than it is for the colts. although it would be nice to beat colts without brady. :D:

I wanna beat the dolts damn it!!Even though they are down, it would be a huge win against a desperate team in their place.

Morris and Jordan are low cost players who take a pounding with their running style. They are both nice to have, it just sucks that with Tommy's injury there was a need for more help from the run game. BB at least put his crystal ball to good use getting Jordan on a budget and keeping BJeepers on the Practice Squad. Losing Maroney was a major blow that most folks have yet to truly appreciate. Patsyliscious is correct to caution against expecting either Jordan or Morris to be ready for Buffalo or even NYJ - I was rewatching Jorden's injury at SF last night and the way he went down does not encourage me to expect an easy recovery.

I hope they can Morris for someone not made of glass.

It's amazing how Maroney's the biggest ***** in the world, yet the god known as Sammy Morris can't even make it to double digit games in a season. I love Morris, for the 4 games he's healthy.

Indy's run D is so bad that I wouldn't be surprised if BJGE and Faulk do just fine on their own. I still hope to god that Evans doesn't see significant carries, though.

Remember how Isaac Bruce used to be considered the extreme of injury-prone, until he stopped getting unlucky? These guys get hit hundreds of times per year, and all it takes is one bad one and they're injured. Sure, a fair amount is attributable to certain, controllable things (running style, for starters), but I have a hard time looking at the fact that Morris has been injured each of the last 2 years and saying that he's a waste of a roster space because he can't stay on the field. There are huge guys on the other side of the field being paid millions of dollars to hit our guys as hard as they can- injuries are going to happen, and our guys don't suck just because they get hurt.

Re: Lamont Jordan Out For Colts Game

The only real downside I see to Evans getting a lot of carries is that he doesn't have the speed to get away from basically anyone on the Colts D. Even their DTs can probably chase him down from behind.

But besides that, he would make a serviceable hammer to spell BJGE for a while.

This puts a lot more pressure on Cassell, allows Freeney to concentrate on his pass rush... on and on.. a great challenge tonite for the Pats.. I suspect an innovative game plan.
