That is a great point Da Bruinz we are all being selfish wanting the answers but think about the guys on the team that gave it their all but got caught up in a numbers game on a very stacked team!
Guess we should all be more patient!
yes, think about the guys on the team as we announce them as likely substance abusers! ;) (Sorry, had to get that one out.):D

League times are always Easter time, never Pacific.

PFT just referred to the deadline as 6PM EST. I more and more think my guess above is right, that many people in the media simply were reporting the wrong time.

They have to announce by Easter time?

At the rate this is going I could collect my social security by the time they release the names..

The Jets announced their final cuts late today to get down the the maximum 53 man final roster. Notable names that were on the list are Veteran DT Kimo von Oelhoffen, LB Anthony Schlegel who was a third round pick last year, veteran DT Bobby Hamilton who had an excellent camp, LB Andre Wadsworth who was attempting a comeback after a seven year absence from the league and also rookie RB Danny Ware who seemed to lock up a roster spot after the retirement of Cedric Houston and an impressive camp.

The list of the others released today are as follows:

RB Alvin Banks
OT Marko Cavka
CB Manny Collins
LB Blake Costanzo
WR Chris Davis
OT Na'Shan Goddard
DE Michael Haynes
CB Alphonso Hodge
WR Frisman Jackson
OL Dominic Moran
WR Evan Prall
WR Brett Rafliff
S Jamie Thompson
G Robert Turner
LB Jason Trusnik
S Raymond Ventrone
C Joe Villani

Just thinking: some of the NE media members should consider selling adds for big Patriots news such as today. If they get payed by the hit people like Reiss (or the Boston Globe) could be making a fortune.

Heh. Actually, that was the BB-sponsored proposal that failed to pass the competition committee :)

Well Tomase has some news.

Rumors, rumors, rumors
Posted by John Tomase at 7:01 pm

It’s 7 p.m. and the Patriots still haven’t released their list of cuts. However, a rumor gaining momentum over the last three days is that they’re planning to drop Randy Moss, which would be a shocker to end all shockers. However, we must stress that in conversations with other league executives we’ve been unable to confirm this as anything more than hearsay.

A league source with knowledge of the Patriots’ moves said there’s a surprise on the cut list, but declined to elaborate. That could mean Moss. It could mean Reche Caldwell. Right now no one knows.

The Moss stuff began percolating on Thursday and really gained steam when Pro Football Talk included it in its rumor mill this morning. The theory seems to be the that the Pats aren’t sure he’ll embrace a role as a decoy. Reached today by colleague Karen Guregian, Moss’s agent, Tim DiPiero, said he hadn’t heard anything and that he was planning to be in the Meadowlands for Sunday’s opener, presumably to watch his client.

Maybe it’s nothing. Maybe Moss will be in uniform a week from tomorrow. We’ll keep you posted.

Has Tomase been reading our board?
