Using either one of the rankings below, or a combination of both, you make the Patriots picks. You can pick up to 5 spots above the Patriots draft slot,example: #22 you can go up to 17 ect. You can make trades but try to make them make sense using the trade value chart.

22 - Sean Weatherspoon ILB Missouri - I like his bravado because he backs it up. Nobody will be running on us up the middle! Every down LB who is great in pass coverage. We can get a good DT later!

44 - Tyson Alualu DT California - Very quick DE/DT that would be perfect for a 3-4 DE. 4.8x for a DT

47 - Trade to CIN for #54 and #120 CIN selects Jimmy Graham TE Miami

53 - Arrelious Benn WR Illinois - really bad QB affected his numbers this year. Big fast off the line, a bargain at this spot in the draft

54- Koa Misi LB Utah - a friend in Utah told me to watch this guy and the board has really taken a liking to him too! He is shooting up draft boards. Great combo of speed rush and can hold the edge too!

119 - Daniel Te O'Nesheim DE Washington - Someone called him a sleeper? He has been terrorizing Pac 10 QB's. We just don't get to see these players much. Great workouts and LB agility drills. (BTW I don't think he wil last this long)

110 - Trade #120 & 229 for Blair White WR Michigan St - Brian Hoyers old receiver
190 - Myron Rolle FS Florida St - You know BB likes hime because he is a Rhodes Scholar

I couldn't work in an OL, sadly. The Pats' OL should be ok with Light, Neal, Kaczur and Vollmer plus the depth they have for this year.

#17 - Rolando McClain - Another stud young LB to play with Mayo, Guyton and Mckenzie for the next few years. I have loved this kid for us since the start and I am not going to change my mind. The more I hear him slipping the better I feel about us getting him.

Trade (#44 & 119) to the Packers for (#56 & 86 & 193) Trade value 516 - 514

# 47 - Charles Brown (OT) - To get a first round talent this deep in the second is a no brainer. He played in a big time program has great measurables and would improve our OL with a big time player.

#53 - Damian Williams (WR) - Yes back to back USC players but this guy is a great route runner and some WR in the class can barely run the tree. This is a good character guy who fills a need but needs to run faster.

#56 - Chris Cook (CB/FS) - Like Sean Smith last year to add a great DB who can play both positions is valuable. The guy is a play maker and I bet Al Davis will trade for him in a few years if he does not work out

#79 - Tyson Alualu (DE) - I love this guy in the second round for us to address the DE position. He will be a great player who has played 3-4 Defensive End in college.

# 86 - Jimmy Graham (TE) - We have our blocking TE I think this guy might just surprise some people. I know Gates is a rare exception but this guy does have the measurable and at the bottom of the third worth the risk and fills a need.

#190 - Jeff Byers (interior OL) - If this guy can stay healthy would be a great addition to our OL.

#193 - Blair White (WR) - This guys is pro ready and will push guys for that #3 WR spot.

#205 - Brandon Deaderick (DE) - player who had to deal with an unusual injury but worth a pick a this spot.

#229 - Eric Olsen (C) - Another quality OL late in the draft to push Koppen and make his trade or loss not hurt too bad.

#231 - Deji Karim- Yes I finally address the RB position with a steel here in the seventh, thanks Eagles.

#247 - Matt Dodge (P) - 45 yard + average.....where does he sign.

#248 Sam Young (OT) - I cannot believe this guy will be here in the seventh but I will take him as he impressed me in Mobile.

#250 E.J. Wilson (3-4 DE) - Another guy to push Warren for LE down the road.

The Lions are said to be coveting a all-pro G, why not throw Mankins in there to get the trade done? No way do we spend the $$ for that position, franchising is still too $$ as the pay for good guards has gone up faster than their importance in the offense. We basically traded Hobbs for Ornburger last draft so Dante should have him up to back up/take over for Neal soon. I think the team likes Light and he would take a pay cut to move inside and end his career here, he cant play RT. If the McNabb trade goes down we will lose likely half the value on the pick, why not max it out this year in a rare chance to get a impact DL?
Next year we will pick up a RB and have a better idea of the development of Tate and Edleman, Moss' future, and Welker's effectiveness...but our lines will be solid as well as LBs and DBs.
