John Mccain was released from the Hanoi Hilton

Here's a campaign video about it, slanted of course, because it is from John McCain's website, but it has the video of him getting back.

    http://www.johnmccain.com/journeyfreedom/

Of course yesterday some 20 year old Hillary aid, said that McCain gave intel to the Vietcong while being tourtured, once again, incapable of shame.

It was on Hannity & Colmes last night, one of the Republican talking heads (female) went out of her way to point it out, I think she said it on another TV show.

You're gonna hate me for this, but there are people who were there who make the same claim. It's been very well buried, but it's out there. If there's any sort of shred of truth to it, the Clintonista attack machine will find it. If there's no truth to it, they'll make it up.

Me, I don't like McCain. Never have and always will. It's easy for me to believe, especially in light of his strength of character now (as in, he never met a Democrat or media type he doesn't try to curry favor with).

A torrent of that crap came from the Bush camp in 2000. Funny how you hypocrites didn't have a problem with it then.

McCain is insane, have you heard him?
He wants to stay in Iraq for 100 years, and he WANTS to attack Iran, which is the fastest path to becoming a 2nd-tier power.

Traditional conservatives don't exist as viable candidates anymore, and it sucks.

I have no problem with it. Do people actually think it makes him a traitor or something to give up information while being tortured ? I don't and it's not because I'm a Republican.

You've veered from McCain to torture but, regardless, there are some times that the end justifies the means for me and getting information from terrorists or other anti American bad guys is one for me.

Ignoring the fact that the has got to be the single worst analogy imaginable, if me going out and robbing a bank can save countless thousands of American lives, then yeah that kinda does make it right.

Always liked McCain for his service, but in '00 the Rove machine raised doubts about him and his family in South Carolina.. so I liked him less. Thought he would be a good Prez, but his relationships with lobbyists and the favors he has curried make me think a lot less of him. I am also concerned about the possibility of an 80 year old prez. I know a lot of 80+ years olds, some could do a very good job..but, then there are a few who would not.

Could give a rats ass about whether or not he buckled under interrogation, that is between him and his god someday. There is an inner circle who know the truth.

Jeez Nem, this is reaching even for you.

I guess according to this logic, the 6 million Jews were inept for allowing themselves to be slaughtered whereas the other millions of Jews did not.

I have heard McCain say that he had cracked under torture. I guess it is easy for those who have never been captives or served in the military to take cheap shots. I say that being no fan of McCain, at best he is the lesser of the evils runnig for President.

Yes, that was truly bizarre. Hopefully Obama will be as (blank) as NEM as run on that kind of platform.
