You think that Rick Perry wishes that he had kept his promise and skipped a few of those debates now??????

Same old talking points from the GOP candidates last night:

1). Cut taxes as that will help the "job creators"
2). Deregulate, deregulate, deregulate as that will help the "job creators"
    3). Repeal Obamacare
4). Get rid of the student loan program*
5). Kill the Department of Education, Department of Energy and strip the EPA of funding
6). Let the banks foreclose on everyone

I forgot to mention 9-9-9 that Cain mentioned 40 times.

*Newt brought up the College of the Ozarks and how they have a work to pay for tuition program. I think that is great but not every College can be a Private, Presbyterian institution with an enrollment of 1,400.

Perry is totally lost time for him to go.

Have to admit I felt bad for Perry last night. He is in way over his head.

Huntsman was once again the most articulate and knowledgeable of the candidates. I'm still puzzled why GOP voters don't give him the time of day.

Because he isnt Right enough for the Religious Right voting bloc that the "GOP" as it exists today has to embrace.

Even when he was pointedly told not to mention 9 - 9 -9 in his answer to the question, he managed to mention 9- 9- 9 in his answer.

Warned by moderator Jim Cramer not to mention 9-9-9 in his response, Cain said: “Many of the things we talked about up here today starts with growing the economy. And that’s why we have got to use a bold plan — I won’t mention it — in order to grow the economy.”

I think Jim Cramer is a clown but he prefaced his question, twice, by asking Cain not to mention 9-9-9 in his response.

When is the next debate? These things are becoming must see viewing for me.

-Cain will say 9-9-9 numerous times even when it has nothing to do with the question asked
-Newt will get angry at the moderator and blame the media for something
    -Romney will flip-flop
-Paul will talk about free markets and dismantling the Federal Goverment
    -Perry will stumble, again
-Bachmann will talk repeatedly about repealing any law/regulation passed during Obama's presidency
    -Santorum will be ignored
-Huntsman will answer questions, have good answers, and be ignored by voters.

Perversely, I actually liked him at that moment.

How many of us have not had an "oops," occur? That blip in the brain where all knowledge and all memory disappears never to be found again? Or at least not in time.

Maybe if his blip history had been smaller............

I've been there. The unfortunate thing for Perry was that he was next to Ron Paul and when he was struggling to think of the 3rd department Paul said, "5 things" lol.

Perry looking at his notes was cringe worthy. Luckily CNBC went to commercial a few minutes later and Perry had the chance to regroup (or get the answer from his handlers) during the break.

Oh, and don't forget the crowd, either. It's always entertaining to see what they're going to boo or cheer for next.

    1) Cheer at the thought of a young man dying due to a lack of health insurance

    2) Boo at a gay Iraq veteran.

    3) Cheer for death penalty

    4) Boo when a pertinent question about numerous harassment charges is asked.

That is par for the course. It was a GOP debate.

I don't watch CNBC but thought Maria Bartimom was excellent last night. She asked Cain the "question" then followed up with a question to Romney about retaining an executive with those kind of questions surrounding him.

The question she asked Romney was about his days at Bain Capital and if he would have retained an executive facing these kind of allegations.

She also gave Newt no reaction after Newt went into his tiresome accusations about media bias.

To me, it wasn't so much that he forgot, but how he handled it. "Oops" as the finale made him sound like a buffoon given the setting and stakes involved.

I felt bad for him too but I have to admit it was nice to see politicians acting like real life human beings for a change, instead of the hyper-prepared, sound-bite, teleprompter, emotionless automatons so many of them have become.
