Few disclaimers.

1. I didn't include any QBs or RBs because I simply haven't put the time in to know. I'm sure they'll draft a QB and quite possible a RB but being they aren't positions of need for an immediate starter and I have limited time to do this stuff I simply won't put too much time into those positions this year.

2. I only included in round one guys with a remote chance of falling into the 20's. I don't see half of the names making it there but if they did I could see the Pats drafting them or in some cases trading up for them.

3. There may be some mid level prospects I haven't spent a lot of time on yet that I will add later. This is also why I stopped at three rounds.

4. I took some higher rated prospects off the board for different reasons. I don't see Dee Ford getting drafted by the Pats because of his size and I don't love his game film. I took Easley off for poor interviews and comments about cartoons being more interesting to watch than football. Colt Lyerla wouldn't make a 7 round stack due to his Newtown comment. And so on.

5. There's a few guys who I don't love but understand their upside and thought about taking them off completely but left them in for now.

6. There's a lot of prospects I struggled between one level and another. Van Noy as an example being a 2A or 2B.

7. I may have missed somebody obvious, it happens, I'm human.

I know there will be major disagreements but I'm sure there is in every draft room which only makes the process better. Manx's article on draft philosophy coupled with DryHeat doing this several times before made me want to start to develop it.

I'm still learning about most of the players on your board, but applaud you for the amount of effort it took to compile this list.

Obviously no one is going to completely agree on the prospect rankings but I think you did pretty good as far as I can tell.

I think it be interesting to see how many of those names are on the Patriots board (who only have about 75 per year).

Good job though. Interesting food for thought.

Very interesting. Particularly Donald below Lee and Mosley. Would you really draft them ahead of Donald?

Great job, though I'm not sure I fully understand your board. When you list a player in a certain range (1C, for example), is it indicative that you think they would be worth the Pats' taking with a pick in that range or later?

I would change quite a bit around, but that's probably true of everyone. It's a fine piece of work.

Good list, just a few comments:

Surprised you had Ebron, Evans, Mosley, Gilbert and Donald in 1C....thought they could have been in 1B.

Would have moved Pryor from 2C TO 1C.

Thanks.

I should have put players on a level aren't ordered.

Thanks.

I would take Donald ahead of them. I was just putting them into bins as a first effort.

Regarding Prior Manx was adament enough that I went back and looked at Prior in detail again and agreed with him.

Yes 1C is their value so if you could get them later than's a bonus. So if pick 62 came up and

Trent Murphy DE STA
Jeremiah Attaochu OLB GT

were both still available a small trade down to get one of them in the high 3's would be a great extended value move.

No but if Donald was gone I think the Pats would draft either of them falling to 29. I think Zach Martin would be a tough one since assuming Vollmer is fine that's not an immediate position of need. 99% sure he's gone anyway but interesting nonetheless.

I like Martin as a right sided Mankins. A guy who could excel at OG or be used as a Tackle in an emergency. He'd give our line a ton of depth and flexibility. Could be a great first rounder and go completely unappreciated.

I agree but where they already have a swing RG\T in Cannon it's stil not a priority. Now if he could play center........
