another week the pats put up 200+ yards on the ground...and its not just running, but its how we're running. we are converting some quality first downs with Ridley/Bolden/Woody running the ball...controlling the clock and wearing teams out

You are starting to see defenses respect the run which is opening up the passing lanes for brady to throw to all those targets

I cant wait to see what this offense looks like once Hernandez comes back....could be even more dynamic..because i have to imagine that Hernandez is going to be MUCH more of a threat out there than Branch/Fells

All part of the plan.

Phasing out Brady.

Our running game is going into BEAST mode. A lot of that is thanks to the OL and the running of Ridley, Woodhead, Bolden, and company. 35 first downs is a new franchise record. When the offense is this BALANCED it is very tough for defenses to stop us. Pats offense is looking nearly unstoppable! I'm pumped!

We've become a version of the older Steelers offense....I like it

Love it, but again, no points in the last 20 minutes....why can't the offense deliver the kill shot any more against good teams?

or, just the fact that if your team has a running game it is MUCH harder to defend..

when you have targets like Lloyd, welker, Gronk, hernandez....having a dynamic run game just makes an offense that was pretty hard to stop..even more so for defenses because now they have to account for the run.

teams werent scared for BJGE because he was never really a threat to take it to the house...but teams know if they give Ridley some space he can break it off for 10-20

pats should roll teams if this run game keeps up

Slightly off topic, but that vaunted revamped Buffalo defense did not allow two players to run for 100+ yards this week, and two others to have 100+ yards receiving.

This week it was only one 100+ yard rusher to go with the two 100+ yard receivers.

Play calling.

Love the running game but I still think we can use Brady more. Being able to run is great but when Brady is money and moving the offense up and down the field then don't try and force the balanced offense, let Brady loose.

It was 300 rushing yards and 300 passing yards. Don't think it gets worse than that

they stop using the no hurdle offense.

can they make it 3 weeks in a row?

There's not much reason to think this running game will diminish - look at the next seven games: at Seahawks, Jets at home, Rams in London, Bye, Bills at Gillette, Colts at Gillette, at Jets, at Dolphins.

There is not a single defense there that can stop this Patriots offense or keep it off the field with sustained drives.

This is a great run of games in which to build some additional experience and depth on the offensive line as this team improves.

As much as I hate to admit it, the seahawk defense is very good. This will be a true test to see how improved our run game really is.

1976

1976 was the last time that the patriots had 200+ yards running two games in a row.

1982 was the last time before last week that the patriots had two 100 rushers in the same game.

It is said that the patriots should be unstoppable now that we have a running game and a deep threat. We'll learn more when we face some real defenses: Seattle, Houston and San Francisco.
