It might be a bit tougher this year, but the FAIL is still out there. Here's an example:

New England: Orion Jones DT Toledo 6' 2" 285

Pittsburgh: Keenan Reynolds RB Navy 5' 11" 190

An undersized DT over a Navy guy? Really?

A Navy guy that's an undersized RB to be fair.

What's worse is that they've got Alex Collins, Jonathan Williams, Cayleb Jones and Leonte Carroo as all going in the 7th round. And Tyler Boyd in the 3rd round? Yes please!

Reynolds in the seventh would be a steal for us.

This site has us taking Austin hooper in the seventh, he could be another steal for us.

What are the highest and lowest we have seen Paxton lynch? I saw him top 5 and I've seen others say early 2nd round

If I was a GM, I could not justify taking Lynch in the first round.

If I take a qb in round 2, then it would be the kid from North Dakota state.

Daniel Jeremiah has Wentz as his #1 QB, just ahead of Goff.

when was the last time an FCS QB was the first taken? Has it ever happened?

Steve McNair I believe. Joe Flacco was the 2nd QB taken in his year too.

Chad Reuter of NFL.com has a four round mock up (no compensatory picks).

The Patriots picks:

60 - DeAndre Houston-Carson, S, William & Mary

A second round safety most non-draftnik so haven't heard of, that'll go down well on the main forum. I actually have my eye on Houston-Carson but as a day three pick. This is way too early for me.

92 - Carl Nassib, DE, Penn State

Could live with this in the 3rd round although I'm not the biggest fan.

124 - Kelvin Taylor, RB, Florida

Have yet to watch him so no comment.

A draft like this would leave me a little flat

Four-round mock draft: Cowboys grab QB Wentz at No. 4 - NFL.com

First mock I've seen with Braxton Miller in the first round. Has him going to the Bengals at 24.

Unless he shows crazy combine numbers I don't think he will go in the first round. There is a lot of recency bias going on with his amazing showing last week. I think he might be drafted somewhere in the range of 40-50 to one of the teams that can afford going for high upside depth in round 2. Which would be exactly the space I would expect us to be if we had a first round pick. Beh.

Between McCourty, Chung, Harmon, and Richards, I think this would be line-up-on-the-Tobin bad.

More head-scratching from DraftSite.com:

60 New England Diondre Hall CB Northern Iowa 6' 1" 190
92 New England DeRunnya Wilson* WR Mississippi State 6' 4" 220
97 New England Artie Burns* CB Miami 6' 0" 195
128 New England Ryan Malleck TE Virginia Tech 6' 4" 250
176 New England Keyarris Garrett WR Tulsa 6' 4" 207
199 New England Luke Rhodes ILB William & Mary 6' 1" 245
214 New England Kenyan Drake RB Alabama 6' 1" 210
248 New England Quinshad Davis WR UNC 6' 3" 205
252 New England Orion Jones DT Toledo 6' 2" 285

Burns at 97 might be a steal. I think he got horrible coaching in a horrible scheme at Miami. He has the raw skills, but needs guidance really bad.

I haven't watched him yet but he's supposed to be bad against the run. Having seen how good our corners were against the run last year that would be a serious red flag for me.

Garrett from Tulsa could be a big time WR. Someone should check him out

I'm guessing that he'll be gone in the top 10 picks, myself.

If CLE doesn't take him at #2, I'd have a hard time seeing him slip past DAL at #4.

I'd be shocked if he made it out of the top ten and I don't think is anyway he falls out of the first. Then again, genocide did it and teddy almost did it in 2014

FWIW, I've heard people argue that DAL would be insane to take a QB, and I've heard people argue that they'd be insane not to.

Not disagreeing with you but in general I don't understand how anyone could even seriously have talks about taking a QB with an early round 1 pick this year. The likely value just isnt there...

They are a true wild card with that pick. It's very difficult to get a read on how they go. I think an equally good case can be made for any of the potential top 10 picks in the draft except for Buckner or a DT.
