I won't be going to see it, but mostly because of the kind of people in the audience it attracts. But, sounds like a good movie for conspiracy nuts, and it's doing very well. It's taken in almost $500,000 since it's release in mid July, which shows the power of the conservative media that has been hyping this movie forever.

Re: 2016 - Anyone seen it yet?

The person who did this production, Dinesh D'Souza, the author of such classics as the "Roots of Obama's Rage"...

These type of films appeal to those who already hate Obama, and not a lot of minds will be changed as those who do not, will not see it.

BTW if you are birther, you will not like it as he gives credibility to the reality of his birth in Hawaii...

    Thank you, Citizens United :)

Yeah I'll be passing on it too. It's not like the Dems didn't know they'd be outspent, right? Option 2, Triumph: just send your 15 bucks directly to the Romney campaign, and save yourself the trouble. It's a brochure.

Re: 2016 - Anyone seen it yet?

Regardless of political leanings, who would go out to the movies and choose to see this? Hmm, Batman, Moonrise Kingdom, The Campaign, Ted, Bourne... nah, I'm going to see the anti-Obama propaganda film...

What a miserable audience that must be. (and I'd say the same if it were a movie about Romney)

Like all other movies I will watch it when it comes to cable ... hate movie theaters.

I'm sure you were complaining about money last time around too. ;)

Probably the same miserable types that flocked to see Farenhype 911, and an Inconvenient Truth.

Same here. I never go to the movies anymore. I wait for the bluray. With my 7.1 channel surround sound, HD tv, and comfy arse recliner, who needs to go to a crowded, $12 a movie, BO smelling loser sitting next to you, bullet dodging theater? Not me. :D

Just like a movie about mitt Romney or Obama, no, I couldn't imagine going to see either of those.

3-D is worth seeing in the theater. Movies like Avatar are pretty incredible.

Re: 2016 - Anyone seen it yet?

At least in my case, of course there would be no angst if Obama, and not Rmoney, were getting big donations from polluters and thieves, so to the extent I have angst, it comes from envy, not any highly principled place.

That said, I think liberals have been consistent in favoring election reform.

Re: 2016 - Anyone seen it yet?

What is sad is that the Koch Bros. have either donated or raised more money than McCain/Palin did all together in 2008...

There is a need for serious campaign financing reform..

Re: 2016 - Anyone seen it yet?

It doesn't matter what liberals or conservatives want. The people that make the decisions are the ones that benefit from the glut of money, so no reform no matter who is in office.

It's like Obama saying he would get rid of pork and lobbyist. Did he? Of course not. Even if he wanted to it would not happen.

I figured if anyone could make some change in DC perhaps he was the man to do it. Now that I see he hasn't I do not hold out any hope that anyone in my lifetime will come along who can. Not to say that as gloom and doom - it is what it is and one learn to work around it but it still sucks.

The movie on bain capital was already a big hit.

Re: 2016 - Anyone seen it yet?

Hey, his position "evolved" a little bit. ;)

I think if a stone cold principled politician took office, he/she could make it happen. The problem is no one elected to office, once they get there, wants to do anything that will jeapardize their chances of staying. Power corrupts.

Who'd a thunk that after 4 years, Hope & Change actually meant us peasants would "hope" to have some "change" left when his term was done. :confused2:

Re: 2016 - Anyone seen it yet?

The problem is that to get in a position to even run for an office that can make changes the person already has to have been bought. We don't get what we deserve based on our votes, we have no good option. Those days are over :(

I voted for Obama based on transparency, his stand on lobbyist and pork. Now I think that Hope and Change was really: No hope for change.
