It will be interesting to see what teams the Pats have joint practices with this year. Belichick has close ties to Chip Kelly (Eagles, week one), Greg Schiano (Bucs, week two), and Jim Schwartz (Lions, week three).

For Pats fans attending practices the only one of those three that would be in Foxboro would be week two with the Bucs; the other two are road games. Tuesday August 13th to Thursday August 15th would be the likely dates for those joint practices.

I am a little surprised they scheduled a preseason game against the Bucs though, considering that the two teams will also meet in a regular season game.

And why the hell did Bill feel obliged to throw Schwartz another bone by playing the Loins (again)
in the 3rd, most of the starters most of the time, game (again) during which last year Brady
was nearly killed by a pass-rush that played as if they were in the SB?
I still remember the utter glee that was felt by everybody in Detroit - fans, players, coaches -
whenever Brady was hit, which was way, way too often. I would've bet money that Bill would never
schedule another pre-season game there again.

The nfl schedules the first three and the teams schedule the fourth. Usually against the same opponent. In our case, the giants.

Really? I was under the impression that the pre-season schedule, aside from the HOF game,
was at the discretion of each of the 32 teams.

Edit: according to this page on Wikipedia,
National Football League preseason - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia,
it appears as if teams are given the ability to determine their opponents; the league then
    schedules the date & time.

p.s.: I would also rid ourselves of the Jints game. Too many bad memories.

That's not true. They're playing the last pre-season game as they always do.

I was expecting Reid and the Chiefs to be one of them.
