Re: very tough schedule next year

Looks good to me!

Re: very tough schedule next year

Looks easy as hell to me, 8-0 at home, 6-2 on the road. 14-2 top seed again.

Patriots' 2012 opponents finalized - New England Patriots Blog - ESPN Boston

we only have the teams right now, not the times, but:

Home: 49ers, Bills, Cardinals, Colts, Dolphins, Jets, Texans, Broncos

Away: Bills, Dolphins, Jaguars, Jets, Rams, Seahawks, Titans, Ravens

actually, this is one time i was NOT being sarcastic

49ers are a tough team
bills and fins will be better next year
jets can really only get better
cardinals will be better w/ a sure starting qb (i presume that will be skelton)
colts will have a real QB, and not be 2-14 next year
texans are a tough team
broncos may have a real QB next season
jaguars will have a new QB, or a 2nd year Gabbert
rams can only get better
seahawks are a GOOD team
titans are a pretty good team

the good thing is that we dont have to go further than the mid west (stl) more than once (seattle)

i think this is a tougher schedule than i remember having any recent year

49ers are a tough team..but they play the Pats at home.
bills and fins will be better next year...we say that every year.
jets can really only get better..i dunna know about that..
cardinals will be better w/ a sure starting qb (i presume that will be skelton). at Foxboro. Big deal.
colts will have a real QB, and not be 2-14 next year. Maybe. Their D still sucks.
texans are a tough team. Agreed.
broncos may have a real QB next season. Then again, they may not.
jaguars will have a new QB, or a 2nd year Gabbert. And?
rams can only get better... they may go 6-10
seahawks are a GOOD team...Decent D. Awful offense.
titans are a pretty good team....they are ok but not worldbeaters

Pats might be better too. Better D. Get a WR. Better running game.

The 2003 and 2007 schedules were much tougher

Looks like another 13-3 or 14-2 season to me:)

By this logic our defense will get good, and thus cancel out all these new QBs everyone will gain. We are allowed to improve.

Re: very tough schedule next year

Of COURSE they would draw the Arizona Cardinals at HOME:enranged::nooo:

Sorry, the Pats are not allowed to go to Arizona ever again.

Home: 49ers, Bills, Cardinals, Colts, Dolphins, Jets, Texans, Broncos

Away: Bills, Dolphins, Jaguars, Jets, Rams, Seahawks, Titans, Ravens

That's a cakewalk schedule compared to other years. The 49ers, Cards, Texans, Titans and Ravens are the only teams likely to have winning records and a couple of them will be around .500.

Plus its possible the Ravens will collapse, along with the Phish, and Jets. The Bill's will likely be our only competition in the AFCE. Old age is showing even now for the Ravens, and the Cards are still trying to find a QB. Plus we get the iron of the 49ers and Texans at home!

Re: very tough schedule next year

How many years will it take to understand that Belichick and Brady OWN the AFC East.

So, the very tough 2012 schedule has us playing FOUR teams that had winning records in 2011! We should complain to the league office! After all, we only played TWO of these teams this year.

That's sort of the cw, but all good things have to end at some point. The AFC East competition, despite their records, are all getting better.

The Bills were decimated w/ injuries this year. With another high pick & players like Jackson, Wood & Williams coming back, they'll be better. Miami was as good as anyone in the 2nd half of the season. And the Jets are an organization determined to compete - it wouldn't shock me if they went for Manning or made some other big QB move.

Very tough?? What schedule are you looking at? We play the NFCW and AFCS, I'm not sure how you can draw an easier schedule than that in the NFL.

On paper, this is the easiest schedule we've had since the Cassel year. The Bills, Jets, Phins are imploding. The Niners are the only legit team in the NFCW, and we shouldn't have an issue with them. The AFCS is a joke, even if Peyton comes back. Texans are only potentially tough game there, but even with them, it's hard to evaluate them when their schedule includes multiple games vs. Colts & Jags.

lol, try 2007 schedule..

this one is really easy compared to 07

49ers are a tough team True
bills and fins will be better next year Don't be so sure about that. Miami is losing a leader in Taylor and they will have a new system because of the changes in coaching.
jets can really only get better I disagree. They can get worse. Especially if they lose Jim Leonhard in free agency
cardinals will be better w/ a sure starting qb (i presume that will be skelton) Larry Fitzgerald is a UFA. And isn't likely to return
colts will have a real QB, and not be 2-14 next year Don't be so sure about that. Not to mention that there is talk about Wayne leaving.
texans are a tough team Yes, they are.. But they also could lose Mario Williams (though it's not likely)
broncos may have a real QB next season Don't be so sure about that. Not to mention that they lost one of their best O-line in Chris Kuper.
jaguars will have a new QB, or a 2nd year Gabbert Jones-Drew is a threat, but their offense isn't great beyond him
rams can only get better If they are healthy, I agree.
seahawks are a GOOD team True.
titans are a pretty good team True.

I don't think the schedule is that tough, but I do think it is a cake walk either. A lot will depend on free agency..

I like this schedule. Our hardest games look to be Texans, Niners and Ravens.

Pats 2012 opponents released

It's a tough schedule, IMO...playing in Baltimore will be brutal.

Home games
Buffalo Bills
Miami Dolphins
New York Jets
Houston Texans
Indianapolis Colts
Denver Broncos
Arizona Cardinals
San Francisco 49ers

Away games

Buffalo Bills
Miami Dolphins
New York Jets
Jacksonville Jaguars
Tennessee Titans
Baltimore Ravens
St. Louis Rams
Seattle Seahawks

On the bright side, if they play in Baltimore I get to go!

Colts, Broncos, Cardinals, Jags, Rams, Seahawks, it looks to be the easiest schedule in recent memory.

I guess it is a half-full half empty thing to some degree.

I think every game on that is extremely winnable except for the Ravens. I don't think there's any feasible way they don't get decimated there. This is assuming no injuries or significant change to either team, of course, which never happens.
