Notes:
ST: Matt Slater, Tracy White, Sammy Morris – A lot is made of Slater and White leading the team in ST tackles. With the changes to the Kickoff Rules this becomes less of a priority and you also have solid ST contributors like Kyle Arrington who can focus a bit more of his attention on ST now that he is going back to a nickel CB roll with Bodden returning. Arrington actually had more solo ST tackles than Slater going into the final reg season game in 2010. There are also nice additions to the roster in the form of Jeff Tarpinian to replace Tracy White, half of his ST tackles were assisted anyway. Sergio Brown and Josh Barrett can step up in a ST roll as well.
WR Brandon Tate – Final cuts/trade. There just isn’t room with the addition of Ochocinco and the hopeful emergence of Price and Hernandez as viable WR replacements for Tate. Edleman can expand on his role as a KR/PR since it doesn’t look like he’s breaking into the top 3 WR this year.
QB Brian Hoyer – Traded to the Rams for a 5th-6th rounder. He has more experience in the offensive system that McDaniels is installing than either Bradford or A.J Feeley and is also cheaper than Feeley as a backup QB who can also tutor Bradford.
