Figure I might as well start this thread.

Oakland, lost to Tennessee, record 0-1, 1st round pick between #1 and #16

Carolina, lost to Giants, record 0-1, 2nd round pick between #33 and #48

Saints beat Vikings, record 1-0, 6th round pick 180s or 190s

Next week Carolina hosts Tampa and Oakland hosts St. Louis. They should both win so they'll be middle of the pack after next week.

In week 3 though, Carolina hosts Cincy and Oakland goes to Arizona. No cupcake games there for those teams.

    #11 Jersey

I think Bradford can take the Radiers.

This is going to be fun to follow. I think if Oakland won a couple of games they would get a tremendous boost in confidence. But, if they struggle out of the gate. It will seem like the same old Raiders(lately that is); struggling qb, coaching controversy(Crable on hotseat) and no hope on horizon. No playmakers on offense and a senile, old owner.

Very nice...you beat me to the post. Gotta love BB. As a fan, he gives you 12 months of total team interest. We get to chew on extra picks in the offseason, something I really enjoy

    #12 Jersey

I agree that they should win their week 2 games but it's worth noting that Tampa somehow beat Cleveland, and Carolina may be without their starting QB due to concussions. And the Rams were pretty competitive against the Cardinals. I don't think either of those are layups.

The Rams look absolutely desperate for WR's. I do not know how Bradford can beat the Raiders with Clayton (lacks fire), Amonadle(lacks speed) and Gilyard (Lacks experience) as the only WR's healthy on the roster.

On a lot of Bradford's passes yesterday, it looked like the WR's ran the wrong pattern.

It is so tough being a rookie QB, but to be a rookie QB on a team without a legitimate WR is so much worse.

And somewhere in the Raiders secondary is NNamdi.

On the other side of the coin, I see why BB tried to sign Fells last off season, big blocker and can catch a little.

Matt Moore is doubtful for Sunday's game. Jimmy Clausen is the back-up. He did start for 4 years in college in Charlie Weiss's offense. And he does have a good run game. Should be interesting.

Good news for everyone here. The Raiders looked terrible again. They do have some talented players so they'll get the odd upset here and again, plus they play some weak looking teams.

People overrated Jason Campbell. Just because he's not Jamarcus Russell, doesn't mean he's a good player.

Carolina will only win 3/4 games TOPS if there lucky.

Can you image if we had their #1 pick as well!

    #3 Jersey

    Nice work, Bro.

    ***

My expectations regarding Oakland are dampened by the accession of Gradkowski to the starting lineup...But I believe they still have a shot at Top 5, and even a fighting chance for #1, and might even be the Favorites.

Oakland at Arizona. Might be an interesting barometer for how bad the loser of this game is. No qb's on either roster.

Update after five weeks; not going to bother getting into tiebreakers yet as it's way too early for that.

    1st Round from Oakland (2-3): #8 - #12
    1st Round New England (3-1): #25 - #28
    2nd Round from Carolina (0-5): #33 - #35
    2nd Round New England (3-1): #57 - #60
    3rd Round from Minnesota (1-3): #70 - #71
    3rd Round New England (3-1): #89 - #92
    4th Round New England (3-1): #121 - #124

    4th Round from Denver (2-3) would be #104 - #108.
Seattle gets whichever 4th round pick is better, so this pick goes to them.
Also, the 4th round picks could be later depending on compensatory picks.

As of this moment the Cowboys and Vikings would have top seven draft picks, while the Bucs and Chiefs would be among the last eight in draft order.

Regarding that first round pick, a bay area newspaper has some concerns about the Raiders' defense despite their win last week.

And things are looking good with that Carolina pick so far too.

In the rest of the article Trent Dilfer discusses his recommendations to overcome that dilemma; hopefully John Fox is not listening.

Update after six weeks and the win over the Ravens; still too early to bother getting into tiebreakers.

    1st Round from Oakland (2-4): #7 - #9
    1st Round New England (4-1): #30 - #31
    2nd Round from Carolina (0-5): #33 - #34
    2nd Round New England (4-1): #62 - #63
    3rd Round from Minnesota (2-3): #74 - #75
    3rd Round New England (4-1): #94 - #95
    4th Round New England (4-1): #126 - #127

    4th Round from Denver (2-4) would be #103 - #105.
Seattle gets whichever 4th round pick is better, so this pick goes to them.

I'd say the Raiders moving closer to #1 while the Pats choice gets closer to #32 is a win-win.
