Using Reiss's info (offense here, defense here), the youth movement is readily apparent.
The defense started five first or second year players, and another three third year players, with only Wilfork and Wright on their non-rookie deals. The offense was a little bit older as only three first or second year players started, and another non-RFA eligible (Connelly) player was a starter. All four 2009 second rounders started and showed that they belonged on the field. Throw in significant contributions from Tate as well as the special teams support from Mesko and Ingram, and youth is being served, especially on defense.
