Kdo5 is wrong... according to Reiss, the Pats share the record for the earliest division clinch with the '85 Bears, '97 49ers, and the '04 Eagles.

To be fair though, the Pats are the first team in their division and in the AFC to win it the earliest.

Actually we have the tiebreaker against the Dolts, so we'd have to lose 3. So if we both win out we can clinch against the Jets.

To lose it to the Stealers we'd have to lose 3 also, with one of them being against the Stealers, or 4 with us beating them.

Actually we'd have to lose 5 if we beat the Steelers (they'd have 4 losses and we'd have tie breaker).

Basically we can clinch the seeds fastest the following ways:
Win tonight and Denver loss: Clinch at least 3 seed (tiebreaker over SD, Denver and rest of AFCW can't catch us). [Denver is currently winning at the half by a touchdown]

Any combination of four Patriot wins and Steeler losses:
OR
Any combination of four Patriot wins and Colt losses: Clinch at least 2 seed/bye

Any combination of four Patriot wins and Steeler losses:
AND
Any combination of four Patriot wins and Colt losses:: #1 Seed
