I don't think I last that long. Just look at the pace of bull sh1t posts and the emotion we're wasting on it!

Well, hopefully we'll all run out of crap to argue about and realize "What the hell have we been doing for the past 4 months?"

    Jeesh!

Dems don't want to talk about energy, or political reform. Personal attacks are how BO won his Senate seat (remember the Ryan sex scandal) and eliminated his opponents during his first ILL senate run. This is SOP for BO get used to it.

Actually, it's the Republicans who don't want to talk about issues because they had control of Congress and the White House for 6 out of the last 8 years, and they have nothing to show for it. As Bill Clinton said at the Democratic Convention, the Republicans finally got what they want -- absolute control -- and now we have massive deficits, a foreclosure crisis, unresolved foreign problems, and so on. We'll gladly talk about issues, and only just recently because Palin is such a laughable choice have the Democrats been attacking, but until now it's been: Obama's birth certificate, Ayers, Wright, Rezko, his religion, and whatever kind of personal crap they can fling. Get used to it Patsfan, I think the left has shown with Palin, we can stoop almost as low as the right if we must.

Again, the Republicans had control and laid the groundwork the current domestic and foreign mess. We'd be even worse off if the Dems didn't do the right thing and pass and Bush didn't sign some emergency spending bills to prop up the economy.

Let's talk issues. I'll gladly compare the Clinton record to the Bush record as proof that the Democratic approach is more sound than the Republican one.

Personally time to take a break, there is too much vitriol and hate on this board.. the mods are not holding people accountable, in fact they contribute to the problem.. my grand diversion starts on Sunday @ 1:00 PM..

This board has become a sewer and is infested with rats, backbiting and sniping over the most ridiculous items...

The reality is that no matter who is elected, things will mostly stay the same as most of what happens in gov't is institutionalized.. Obama will not turn us into a socialist state, Palin will not get intelligent design injected into our grade school currriculum..

Too much energy is wasted on Shyt, hysteria and lies, an obscure blog says this so it must be true.. spent 15 minutes watching CNN last night got nauseus, spent 5 minutes listening to Fox and then Puked.. the whole coverage has turned into spin, lies and has become more about the broadcaster than the news.. time to take a break and try to find some intelligent way to understand this election and what the issues are.. it will not be found here.. it was never this bad in '04 and do not remember '00... but it sure sucks now.

I'm getting to the same point myself GJAJ15...I find it more and more difficult to find threads I want to participate in. As for your comment, "The reality is that no matter who is elected, things will mostly stay the same", I've said the same thing before. It makes me wonder why any of us believe it really matters that much who we elect president. I honestly believe it is ONLY because many of us want to be on the "winning side"...which is a sad statement of American culture in itself.

After Sunday morning this place will become a ghost town. (except for Harry, PC, Jack and WW83):disagreement:

Right now I am more concerned with Brady's foot than I am with Palin's expected grandchild or Obama's popularity in Europe.

I've been thinking that Belichik and the Pats purposefully tanked the pre-season to conserve their energy. They were tanking last year in December and the SB...I don't even wanna say.

Is this the same injury Brady had in the super bowl? Or did he injure it in the beginning of training camp? Either way, he better get healthy or we're F*****!

For most people. you and I live in Eastern Pennsylvania, considered a critical area by both campaigns. The conventional wisdom is whoever carries 2/3 of PA, MI and OH wins the election. That's why they've spent more on TV ads in Philly than anywhere else..... So yeah, turn on your TV and you've got two more months.....but at least pro football starts in 30 hours......

On that we agree, but judging from the preseason, his foot may be the least of our worries!

I don't know why they even bother, Philadelphia, Luzerne, Lackawana & Allegheny will go to Obama and the other 63 will go for McCain and somehow Obama will win the state, happens every year I don't expect this one to be any different.
