Guys, I've seen a mock draft from a British fans site that I'd like to send in to 199overall, but I can't see anyway of contacting the site.

Any ideas?

The updates keep coming, http://www.199overall.com/
- new section added called Survey Says which lists a summary of the top 100 mocks

Ok, I am having too much fun now.. the new and improved draft will display the rational for every Patriots pick (if available, some sites just list the Player names and no details).

- NEW - for the really lazy (like me), move mouse over "Details" link to see full explanations of Patriot picks!

Feature to check out - the draft compare feature of the 'Fantasy Sports Drafts' website is pretty cool, you can compate various drafts against the professional sites

I will be very surprised if the Pats pick Harvey at #7 and pass on Clady if the draft fell that way. Honestly, I hope they trade down to the teens and take Groves, McKelvin, or Jenkins.

The Pats are full of surprises, personally I think Clady is a little overrated. I view Harvey as the successor to Vrabel. He could play in a rotation with Vrabel and Thomas and in passing situations Thomas could rotate inside with Vrabel and Harvey on the edges.

I am bullish on Harvey.

I, for one, have serious doubts about Harvey's ability to play standing up. I wouldn't use a first rounder on him. He appears to have a very slow first step and doesn't appear to be able to change direction very well. I think he needs to be an end in a 4-3, where he can use his arms and play to his strengths.

The fact that I think the Pats will take him makes it a mortal lock that the Pats will not select Harvey.

I think that we overate speed for the OLB position, Vrabel ran a 4.8 when he was 22, I doubt it if he is faster now. Willie McG was not a speed merchant. Colvin ran a 4.92.

The Patriots OLBs are asked to rush the passer, set the edge and drop in the flat for coverage. They don't chase TEs 30 yards down the field. The most important skill for any OLB is the ability to get the passer, Harvey, Gholston and Long could all play and likely excel in a Vrabel-ish role.

Tremendous job - quite the public service!

It's funny though - I'm leaning less and less to CB in my guess as to who they will pick.

I do think it will be for a "need" position - meaning that whoever they pick will be expected to contribute in a big way, if not start. That could involve some shifting in the secondary - but if you're going to pick at #7 you make damn sure you have a quality starter at that price, regardless of the position.

I thought that you'd like to see this, written by John Tomase in today's Boston Herald:

"A valuable resource for Patriots [team stats] fans is the Web site 199overall.com, a mock draft clearinghouse that tracks more than 140 other sites and whom they believe the Patriots will select seventh overall. As of last week, the runaway leader was Troy corner Leodis McKelvin, with 40 mock drafts showing the Patriots targeting him, vs. 20 each for South Florida corner Mike Jenkins and Ohio State defensive end Vernon Gholston.

The name of the site, incidentally, is an allusion to Tom Brady [stats]’s draft position in 2000."
