Steve "who was terrible" Isreal... and Chris Canty, perhaps the franchise-worst draft pick after Ethan Chung. Brings me back.

It'd be very interesting to look at the number of each position per year (averages etc.) as well as those who primarily played special teams. I wouldn't be able to remember back to 96 (I was 10), but I volunteer one of you experienced posters to make an excel spreadsheet of this important information. Thanks in advance! ;)

Not to mention Tebucky, who was decent as a safety but absolutely NOT a corner, Pete Carroll.

Many this year and last have wanted to keep six DL's. After all, only five are active. I may have missed it, but when was the last time we started with six DL's?

what is pretty crazy is that ONLY THREE WR were on the active roster for week 1 of the 2006 season.

Making it more unbelievable: one of them was BAM CHILDRESS

the three active WR for week 1 of 2006

Troy Brown
Reche Caldwell
Bam Childress

there were no 4 and 5 WR sets in that game (victory over the Bills 19-17)

My goodness.....then along came Gaffney & Gabriel that year - what a difference 2 years makes - our only concern this year is flanker, can Chad Jack step in or will it be Gaffney??
I wonder which week Chad Jackson was activated in '06?
