The guys on FSNE are right. We're 18-0 but the team that loves to be disrespected is right back where they want to be.

    - The Giants' black suits for the funeral.
    - Burress' "prediction"; did you see the look on Brady's face about scoring only 17 ?
    - The media saying the Giants have momentum.
    - The media saying Eli has been the best QB in the playoffs this year.

We couldn't have asked for a better week. The Disrespect Card is back for real. Harrison will walk off the field saying "We were 18-0 but no-one thought we could do it".

    I don't get it also.

The Giants beat two freakin' NFC TEAMS the past two games by 3 points and 4 points.

The Pats beat two AFC teams by 9 and 11 points.

Why is it that the Pats are limping into the Super Bowl and the Giants are on some hot roll? The SB will be the first time the Pats have gotten a chance to play in perfect weather conditions since Week 9 of the season.

You're exactly right - - the media is beating that drum since last Sunday. It's incomprehensible.

We don't have to get it - as long as the team feels that chip. It's funny, around midseason Felger was joking about how the team could be undefeated and Harrison would still say "no-one thought we could do it"; well here we are, STILL undefeated and there is some legit disrespect going on. We aren't really an 18-0 team, we're a decent team the just happens to be 18-0 ;)

arguable. I think Jags + Chargers > Cowboys + Green Bay

also, the Giants were outplayed by the Cowboys

Tampa Bay???? Lost at home to Jacksonville, and would get killed by SD.

The Cowboys? We beat 'em by 20+ points in their buiding.

The Packers? C'mon, be truthful. Were they real?

Look, what the Giants have done is impressive, winning tight games on the road against NFC teams.

Please tell me why the 18-0 Patriots are the team with no momentum.

My point EXACTLY. We're 18-0. Got that ? You know, NEVER BEEN DONE BEFORE. And, yet, you try and come up with all this slop after winning - hold the presses - 3 in a row. Yep, disrespect is back BABY.

I particularily love the 'Giants have the momentum' talk that's come out of this week. Um, last I checked one team hasn't lost in 375 days--18 straight wins in all--and that team ain't named the Gints.

Honestly, I LOVE all this ridiculous talk...I get a kick out of it, and it serves as nothing but a motivational tool for the Patriots. In 5 days it'll all be over, and we can get back to talking about this as the best team ever. :D

I have also heard a lot about the Giants 10 game road winning streak, which is certainly impressive. But they lost, what, like 6 games at home this season? How impressive is that? I know we were talking about the post-season, but when talking about the road winning streak, I think it is fair to mention the home losing streak (.250) this year. The question is, which Giants team will show up Sunday (and don't give me Pats are the home team, etc. It is a neutral stadium and, if anything, more people want the underdog Giants to upset the Pats).

don't most playoff teams have to win 2 or 3 in a row to get to the Superbowl?

i mean, i thought that's how it went.

I guess....you could say that SuperBowl teams have momentum.

But that's like saying football players are strong.

pats goes for 18-0 and somebody in media don't think pats is the BEST. They don't even think TB is the greatest QB.
colt won 1 SB and media declared they are the best.
Giants is in SB and somebody in media think EM is the BEST QB and Giants players and other media think they can defeat Pats.?

what the hell is wrong with these people.?

i can't wait to see some good report cards from these people about Pats next week.

Yeah, people are still questioning how great Brady is. Has everyone forgot the fact that he was already won THREE SUPER BOWLS!!! No other active quarterback has even been in three super bowls, much less won more than one. And only a handful every have one 3 or more. Last year, with no receivers, in hostile territory, Brady came within 1 minute of the title game. But 3 super bowls, for crying out loud. What more do you have to do? (oh, I know, have a perfect season).

It's funny, because when the playoffs started, the Jags were the team NO ONE wanted to play. What happened to them?

That's a good point, but I think you have to adjust for home field.

The Giants may considered to be on a roll because they're normally a streaky team and they're in the middle of a mini-run. The Steelers did this to win it. It definitely counts.

Certainly they're in the middle of a mini-run - 3 games, and they are on a roll. I guess the point is that the Pats are on a 18 game run, so there doesn't seem to be much of a comparison.

And for all the talk of the Giant's 10 game road winning streak (which is no doubt impressive), they lost 6 at home (.250 home record) this year. That counts, too.

I think everyone just needs this to be a story. It's a good one, too. I just hope it ends with "perfect season" instead of "upset," which it surely would be.

Precisely. The Giants have won 3 in a row, but aside from a bye week team losing its last game, this is the shortest win streak any SuperBowl team can have. Over the last half of the season the Giants were 4-4 and all NY was wondering if they were doing their traditional Coughlin fade. Both Jacksonville and San Diego came into the playoff games with more momentum.

The steelers were a way better team than the giants are this year.

Again selective memory when trying to used flawed logic! Remember the Jags were the hottest team in football, the darlings to win it all! Now, just a fifth seed, nothing compared to those Cowboys who were on fire streaking into the playoffs.;)
