It seemed a little subdued compared to previous debates, if you ask me.

Didn't learn much from it - just a few details, some of which have already been walked back.

    1) Rick Perry thinks all foreign aid ought to be reset at zero - including Israel. (Although Israel ended up being one of those "walk-backs.)

    2) Everyone but John Huntsman and Ron Paul think waterboarding is A-OK and we ought to do more of it.

    3) Michelle Bachmann cries bias after a memo is sent to her office by mistake.

    4) Huntsman and Paul are the only ones who agree that it's time to leave Afghanistan.

    5) Michelle Bachmann wants us to "look to China" for pointers on how to manage our social programs such as food stamps, medicare and social security.

Good summary. That's what I got out of it, too. I watched about 20 minutes of it. Perry reminded me so much of Bush II, sort of friendly y'all idiot, who tells jokes and laughs at his own jokes. He also joked twice about his screw up in the last debate. The first time it was funny, but the second time it was a bit pathetic. I agreed with some of what Ron Paul said, but he was too tongue tied and not very eloquent.

Cain likes enhanced interrogation techniques.. i.e. waterboarding.

It was pointed out it was illegal by Paul and Huntsman, they were booed I believe..

RP got 89 seconds through out the first hour... Sad day when we let the media choose who we can vote for.

So you think the media a responsible for the outcomes of all of this???

One of the issues is that the American Public is very familiar wit what Paul believes in, Cain et al less so.

Just proves that if you repeat a lie often enough it becomes fact..

Paul and Huntsman agreed that waterboarding is not a good thing..

Well to MB credit, I agree with how China does its social welfare, if you want to get free food, money, free healthcare, you should have to work for it, we all work and we should all contribute to our system.

The reason why are system is in the shape its in, not everyone pay's their fair share, our system only works when everyone contributes! If you want assistance you should have to go do road work, help out in schools, clean up parks, help police, help firefighters, help out at prisons.

I think everyone would benefit if we have a system like China's, be it not exactly like it but a similar system. There is nothing wrong with borrowing someone else's ideas, its a good thing! I also think that everyone could agree on this, that way we don't have welfare kings/queens, if you don't want to work you don't get help, your kids get taken away and you loose, if you try and better yourself you should get more help and be rewarded, at the moment we have a de-incentive system and we need an incentive system, at the moment we reward lazy people and don't reward trying to be better....

    Note to MB and ILHP:

I hate to belabor the obvious, but you are both aware that China is a communist state, aren't you?

“I don’t see it as torture. I see it as an enhanced interrogation technique,” Cain replied as the audience expressed approval.

Garrett then turned to Minnesota Rep. Michele Bachmann for her response.

“If I were president, I would be willing to use waterboarding,” she explained as the crowd cheered wildly. “It was very effective. It gained information for our country.”

THEY ARE ABSOLUTELY RIGHT THATS WHY THE CROWD CHEERED WILDLY

So what? So we can't borrow good ideas if their from someone or something we don't agree with or like?

An Idea doesn't care if your a communist or a socialistic! It doesn't care if your black or white, or Muslim or Mormon, an idea is and always will be just an idea, no matter where it came from.....The stupidest thing I have ever heard is we can't use an idea because we don't like or agree with they way someone runs their country but they have great ideas but we can't use them....that's stupid plan and simple.

News Flash I'm well aware that China is a communist state.....DURRRR Don't act so high and mighty:cool: Your not as smart as you think you are.....
