    Seriously now.

‘Shocking’ numbers as 83 Hub workers pull in $200G-plus

Three costly settlements last year led to “astronomical” paychecks as scores of cops and firefighters drew more than $200,000 in gross pay, a Herald analysis found.

In all, 83 city employees — from the school superintendent to a beat cop — pulled down $200,000 or more last year, records show.

“It’s a shocking amount,” said Matthew Cahill, executive director of the independent Boston Finance Commission.

“The payroll items are getting astronomical,” he added. “The administration is in a tough spot. They need to throw away the formula and look at a new way to do business.”

As much as this is unjustified, most rank and file do not make more than 25% of these numbers.. unfortunately for the overtime whores, they make the headlines and skew the results..

There is always an overtime skam in every city, and management should be watching this now than ever before...

Providence just had one, and it resulted in a suspension of 5 sargeants and demotions of all back to patrolmen..

Man, where I work so many people earn $10/hour and even most of the people with advanced degrees earn between $17/hour and $25/hour. I just wish the largely taxpayer funded organization I worked for had a strong unon so that we could get decent middle class wages.
