Does anyone Know why they call it a field of 65?

If there is 16 teams in four different Brackets why do they refer to 65 teams for the march madness tournament?

16x4=64

Anyone?

few yrs ago they made a play in game
two 16 seeds play each other to get to the field of 64

There's a 65th team that plays the 64th team in a preliminary game to decide the 16th seed in one of the regions.
