good question...i know there has been cases where picks have been given to other teams as compensation, but i'm not sure it's ever been completely taken away.
good point. in the NBA i know it is a huge distinction, but i'm not positive how it's the same or different in the NFL. either way, if i were the player, i would ask the team for a fair deal based upon the history of what the #32 overall typically gets and hold out if they balked at it.
very tough decision. i'll be at the pats game tonight and never seriously thought of not going because of the sox (on tv), but the idea that i'll be missing out on being able to see schilling/clemens has been going through my mind.
i'd say go to the game. i was at the clemens/pedro game in...
the issue is that "image", and i'm going to use a slightly different word, "perception" - the problem is, we all know that eventually perception becomes reality to people.
that's an excellent point. the whole post was good too.
also, regarding the draft situation and the nflpa stepping in, i don't think it's that big a deal. if whoever goes #32 overall has a competent agent they should be able to get "typical" #32 overall money, regardless if they technically...
i remember the main criticisms of moss being more about him appearing to take plays off, refusing to play his best when things weren't going how he wanted, and complaining (all things that directly affect on-field performance). the fake mooning was just a further example of something that was...
I've noticed there are some interesting titles, rookie, third string playing special teams, etc. Can anyone post the entire list of all the titles and how many posts you need to achieve them?
if HGH was not banned at the time, then ankiel taking it in 2004 did not give him an "unequal playing field" - any other baseball player could have chosen to take it under the rules at that time, meaning it was an equal playing field and some just chose not to take advantage. the only way it...
it is true that P2/lot3 has less space but it is still a big lot, and coming from the north is still the best place to park if you are going to park on stadium grounds IMO. i imagine that with less spots, it will certainly fill up earlier, but we usually get there within an hour of the gate...
Re: You have two cows... (NFL version)
tiki barber - you have two cows, but you don't like the farm is being run by the farm manager, so you take your cows and go home. then you go on a tv show where the cows defecate on a picture of the farm manager and say he is the reason the cows left the...
interesting question...i'm not very familiar with san francisco, but i think the problem with pats wide receivers is that they spread the ball around so much that you never know what's going to happen, he could have a great day or he could come up with nothing. i'd be tempted to go with jackson.
