Winning SB 36 had to be the highlight for me...until we won 38 and then 39. Winning 39 cemented the Patriots legacy as one of the all time great runs and being a lifelong fan I never thought we'd see that happen. Ever.
While those have to take the top all time moments I have 2 others that as...
Re: Hart Lee Dykes... Disabled due to Football injury????
I'd be careful to label Fryar a "disappointment". I saw him play many many times and the guy had skills, was tough and played hard. He played on BAD TEAMS and that might have played a role in his numbers with the Patriots but...
Given the DB issues over the past few seasons, it sure would be nice to have some young depth there. For the price of Oakland's 3rd, I'd say go for it - if he is still, there and the braintrust thinks he can contribute.

Re: Mrs. B's Training Camp Reports
Mrs B,
Count me in with those hoping you keep reporting! Your enthusiasm is great, your perspective is unique and we need you.

I always thought that turmoil and constant transition are good indicators of a team being mismanaged. Miami continues to be in transition for several years now.
How many starting QB's have we seen from them since Y2K? I believe they will be on their 5th... Source.
The Ricky Williams...
Ahh, Now I think we have hit on why little Mikey Felger has already started his diarea of the mouth when it comes to Moss. It will be fun hearing him try and crap on Moss when he catches 3 TD's in a game for us...

I don't think questioning Felgers integrity means that everyone with a comment in this thread is a homer. I don't think hoping that a new player has a solid season makes me a homer. I don't think that expecting a player who has put up a 1,000 yards in 7 of his 10 season seasons to make an...
Once again Felger thinks HE is the story. He likes to stir things up to draw attention to himself. Ever since Doug Flutie kicked the first drop kick in about 40 years, and Felger said "that's nice for Dougie" in his sarcastic little snicker, and basically tried to say that the play made a...
Peter King has an interesting take on this in today's Monday Morning QB article on Si.I.com
7. I think the Patriots will keep Asante Samuel at his one-year franchise number, not sign him long-term, and see him the week before the first game. This is a player who made $721,600 last year. If he...
I can't agree that we will be "screwed". Randall Gay started Super Bowl 39 and is very capable. Chad Scott still has the talent to be a started in this league and I honestly think that we will have better DB depth going into this season the we have the last 2-3 seasons. Tory James ads even...
Seau performed a lot better last year than I think anyone expected. The idea was to limit his playing time, but that never really happened because we were so thin at LB. I think this year he will be even more effective for two reasons:
1. He has another year in the system which can only...
Morgan is a lock and it's well deserved.
I do think Coates is as deserving. Very few ends can take over a game, or carry a team on thier back - he did and he is the best TE I ever saw play.

All I know is the guy gets open, makes tough catches and is tough as nails. Like Tim Dwight, may be not as fast, but has more overall talent and might be even tougher.
I think he is going tp have a lot of fans here in new England, a place that loves hard working, tough, blue collar heroes...
"Is Asante worth it?"
The question might as well be, "what is Asante worth?"..
Worth the salary of a top 10 corner back? That's questionable, but if he was a true free agent, some team *would* pay top 10 CB money. So either you agree to do that, or you move him/let him go.
Worth...
Re: BORGES - Patriots prove character doesn't count more than ability
Borges is like many of the baseball writers in Boston who they think THEY are the story. The sense of entitlement these guys have is unreal. Like when the baseball guys got all bent when Shilling was posting on...
I agree Stanley Morgan is the most deserving and would get my vote if had one and only one. I think ther are only 5-10 eligible players that should even be considered.
That said, take a look at Irving Fryars all-time stats in comparison to other WR's:
10th all time in receptions (851) -...
I guess they want to restrict the number of players inducted each year so it's harder to get in and therefore is more meaningful. Theoretically if you let everyone in that deserves to be, and then held elections every year after, you'd have years where there was nobody worthy of induction, or...
