Yup, the Jets game im talking about was at the Meadowlands. Now im inspired to watch my tapes from 2001. First up, the regular season game against the Rams, our last loss, but the fact we played them so close fire me up!
Also, in regards to 2001, the game that gets shortchanged is the 17-16 win at the Jets. That was a big, ugly division win that made them 7-5 and i remember everyone looking at the schedule and realizing this was going to be a playoff team. After the 1-3 start this seemed like miracle enough...
Its unfortunate NFL Films felt a need to butcher the end of SB 38 so that forever people think that the game was over after Vinatieri kicked the field goal. There was still a kickoff, i ,for one, was scared to death of. Once the return guy was tackled, THEN the celebration began.
