I think it's a mix of the hangover and being proud of the team. He's constantly said how proud he is of this group of players and how happy he is that he's coaching them, how mentally tough they are, they do what's asked, etc.
In Reiss' version BB mentions the combine in two weeks and that...
Re: Pat Kirwan wonders what happened to the no-huddle yesterday
Coulda shoulda woulda. The gameplan was largely fine. The fact is this team needed to make one or two more plays to win and it couldn't. That's it.
Great #3 corner. If Moore can keep improving and McCourty can get back on track we could have a pretty good secondary. I think a FS would help them a lot as well.
The sting is gone for me. Especially when I look back and think to 2009. That team was gutless.
Then I look back at this team and how they battled all season. How they battled back even in this game. If BB and crew continue to work towards building the best team they can, we'll have a shot.
No 9 - 7 team has ever won the Super Bowl.
No team with a defense ranked in the 20s has won the Super Bowl.
Those two pieces of history worked real well today.
This is the NFL. Anything can happen. BB will have this team in position to make a run. If things happen to fall into place...
Brady did a good job of escaping pressure a couple times today. A couple key catches and the discussions on this board about Brady would be very different.
Perhaps BB should dust off the gameplan against the Colts in the 2004/2005 Divisional Playoff? 39 rushing attempts. Kept Peyton off the field and won 20 - 3.
I would not be surprised to see BB pull out all the stops. AH in the backfield running the ball. A healthy dose of Law Firm and a...
I'm in a weird place. It's not fear, but I don't know if it's confidence. I wonder if Colts fans felt like some of us are feeling when we took them on in the playoffs all those times.
They beat us this year. We're both better. Both confident. This team seems to be loose and having fun (can't...
In 2007 I hosted a Super Bowl party and everyone was rooting against the Pats. One of my friends was a Giants fan as well. After the game, while mourning, I was the subject of a group picture.
This year that Giants fan is hosting a Super Bowl party that I'll attend. Obviously I hope the...
Yeah, it's going to be a lot of their safeties on Gronk and Hernandez. Vernon Davis caught one ball outside of those two where he slipped behind the safeties with his absurd speed. We need Gronk to be near 100 percent for this.
Some of the veterans like Tuck and Manning will say the right things. But the Giants have a lot of new players that didn't play in 2007. They've beat us this year and they're being hyped up.
One of them, probably one of the younger players, will slip up.
Ochocinco needs to be active because he can stretch the field. It'll open up space in the middle of the field. I do believe that that Slater deep bomb was an Ochocinco play.
I do like Edelman on the offense, Slater though...
Some people might, but you should never take any team lightly. This is a simplification, that BB likes to use, but: all a team needs to do is make a couple more plays than the others to win.
I think this comes down to two things: not turning the ball over and limiting Ray Rice. We don't have to stop him, just limit him.
I don't believe Baltimore can stop this offense. I honestly don't believe anyone can. Much like the Saints, we'll get our yards and our chances at scoring...
