Obviously this proposed design would never fly based on sheer ridiculousness. Kudos for the time this guy wasted. I definitely favor the old white Pat Patriot helmets to the current war bonnets. When Tom and the gang march out in red and white with the throwback Ridells the boldness is a thing...
Great thread... and some great points being thrown around. However, it seems to me like the fundamental issue that is being overlooked, regardless of scheme, is the link between personnel and coaching on a given defense's success against both the pass and the rush. Execution by far supercedes...
I'd love to see someone start a new thread or set-up a poll strictly focused on the merits of signing Vick... I- for one, would love to see him in a Pats uniform. I don't see this happening, primarily because I can't picture the Pats taking on the potential PR nightmare that would be the...
I'd be surprised if we didn't give this guy a pretty solid once over now that he's been released. He's not too far removed from a pretty explosive season, and considering his experience at two positions in the 3-4 and level of past success... he seems to fit the mold of some other guys Belichick...
I once heard Belichick on the Big Show asked what he would be doing if he had never gone on to become a football coach... His response... An effin lacrosse coach!
This guy loves to coach and he's great at what he does, as we all are fortunate enough to witness firsthand Sunday after Sunday...
I take solace in the fact that he crashed a motorcycle on camera this year for that ridiculous "New Year's No Limit" garbage ESPN served up.
Anyone else see that clip? I can't find it now but it is borderline priceless.

And for the record Scarnecchia has been with the Pats since 1982... only leaving in 1989-90 when he was brought over to the Colts by Ron Meyer, who originally brought him to the Pats.
Pretty sick tenure.
Re: The Dante Scarnecchia Secret
From a Jackie MacMullan article prior to the SB loss:
http://www.boston.com/sports/football/patriots/articles/2008/01/31/no_scars_of_failure_for_veteran_coachs_offensive_line/?page=2
"Dante is one of the best teachers I've ever been around," (Brad) Seely...
I think this pretty much sums up the most glaring hole in Specter's logic. This combined with the fact that it is widely accepted but not so widely reported that stealing signals is a league wide affair makes Specter's efforts appear to be little more than either a Senator looking for a moral...
Long time reader... First time poster...
First off, solid work with the FRAMe website. Its refreshing to hear an objectively based argument in support of the Pats in this situation as having been a victim (to a certain extent) of a national media obsessed with the sensational. A lot of these...
