    Wilfork speaks

Def. not suprised by this. Every year athletes who have signed deals to get them money over "x" many years are cut or released before they see that money. So now the players want the money NOW they still want the years but they aren't falling for getting the money later, since it seems there...

    Vrabel sour grapes?

Re: Vrabel Sour Grapes?? Thats the point I was trying to make with the post. I assumed that not everyone here was gonna hop on over and listen to the guy's interview. I had heard the clip and saw the discussion on the "sour grapes" part and figured what I heard fit the discussion.

    Vrabel sour grapes?

Re: Vrabel Sour Grapes?? Dude, all I was saying was that the first thing that came to his mind to say was that he really didn't want to talk about it. Then they pressed him on and he finally spoke in more general terms. Then you came in and said "ummm no check the transcript" which I...

    Vrabel sour grapes?

Re: Vrabel Sour Grapes?? What my post said was to go and listen to the actual words that came out of his mouth since they were not all present on a transcript. Not pathetic at all... Maybe pathetic that you are going after me making a point that a transcript left out a whole response to...

    Vrabel sour grapes?

My pleasure... if I happen to have/find anymore I'll be sure to pass along the pettiness, more pettiness for everyone!

    Vrabel sour grapes?

Re: Vrabel Sour Grapes?? I didn't think I needed to you already said that it is in the transcript... I was just referencing that the transcript DIDN'T quote his whole response and that the actual interview was different Edit to add: Don't you think its important that the beginning of his...

    Vrabel sour grapes?

Re: Vrabel Sour Grapes?? Again if you listened to the interview (not just reading the transcript but listen to the words that come out of his mouth) the dialogue is: "You were one of the first guys they brought in back in 2001 from Pittsburg, and since then they talk about the "patriot...

WEEI.com: Vrabel talks about the trade, time with Patriots

This transcipt makes the whole thing sound a lot more positive than the actual interview was... there were a few times where he didn't seem to want to talk about New England at all edit to add its on kcchiefs.com

    Vrabel sour grapes?

Re: Vrabel Sour Grapes?? If you listen to the interview (off kcchiefs.com) right after they ask him "so what's the patriot way" he respongs "well you'd have to ask someone who plays for the patriots"

    WEEI.com: Tedy Bruschi Q&A

Curran (I think) was on WEEI and said he has been in "electronic email" contact with Vrabel and had said that Vrabel seems "happy about being in a new place"... anyone else hear that?

    Good situation for Vrabel?

I mean hearing that they gave him the choice between FA and the trade and that he chose the trade I would think he would be up for it. He doesn't seem like the type of a guy to quit on a team no matter what type of situation they are in.

    Good situation for Vrabel?

Here's a question If the Chiefs don't get much else out of free agency and stay in the rebuilding phase do you see him maybe deciding to say screw it and retire?

    2008 defensive statistics

I would think signing a corner would also be a good idea incase our draftee turns out to be more of a project than a contributor (I know free agents don't always turn out either). Not only is it a weak secondary talent wise but its a smallish secondary. If I were a Moss, Fitzgerald or...

    2008 defensive statistics

Pass rush is where it starts I think especially with this team which is very linebacker orientated. We usually use smart linebackers to pick and choose a good time to go after the rush. I'd say we can wait a bit and draft for that position and groom it for a year or two. But I think the free...

    2008 defensive statistics

There is still that argument though that your secondary can help the pass rush by making sure that there are no open recievers giving the rush time to get to the QB. Its one of those two way streets- both need each other to work well to succeed.

    2008 defensive statistics

You know what, you bring up a lot of true and good points. Can you imagine what next year might be like if all of our main players stay healthy enough to perform, and perform up to expectations.

    2008 defensive statistics

And they play a zone defense that takes their LB's and moves them into coverage taking them away from rushing the passer or blitzing because the secondary needs the help. To me that has a lot to do with the secondary. Constantly coming on third and long with 3 or 4 rushers isn't going to...

    2008 defensive statistics

They did change corners- Deltha O'Neil took a seat on the bench

Those teams also don't drop 2 or 3 of their 4 LB's into coverage because their secondary is more reliable.
