Isn't Stallworth signed through 6 years? If they cut him, the Pats will be hit with a huge Cap Penalty. Washington, I think, has earned his spot on the team through ST.
Everyone's so quick to cut people. I remember last year everyone was saying Gaffney would be cut during training camp...
JM didn't call enough running plays. You saw Maroney shredding the tired Giant's front 7 late in the game. Just so terribly disapointed.
Loss of words.
But today at work, JM was exactly the person I was thinking off. WAY too many check downs and Screens.
It's ok. Alway's next...
I think Seau will retire. Bruschi may have one more year in him.
If the pats take a DB in the 1st round, you'll probably see a lot more Nickel Coverage in the 08/09 season.
Pats are paying Jarvis Green a LOT of money. And Seymour would dominate the trenches inside with Wilfork. Like...
Woodson is not even close to Ryan. Woodson would end up fumbling the ball 10x more with that slow release. He throws the football like its a baseball with an actual wind up. Pass rushers would knock it out of his hands so often.
If Ryan fell to #7, then the Falcons would be very happy...
I think the more pressing need is not RB or C. More on the defensive side.
Maybe a 3rd round pick for a RB and a 4th round for a C. Patriots need LBer and DB's. Like they always do every year.
I believe in the 06 season, PSU used a 3-4 System. In the 07 Season they switched to a 4-3 Scheme.
Connor has experience in both schemes and has the quickness to match up with some WR's and is instinctive.
There's a reason why PSU is aka Linebacker U.
I'd like to see the pats trade...
We all know BB's system isn't completely based on the 40 time. BB doesn't run a Cover 2 defense.
Only thing that matters to BB, is if the prospect, if on D, can tackle.
Only way a 40 time is important to BB is if the prospect is versitile. Like AT.
As we all know, Pat's D is not known...
miami has a stud in ronnie brown, the only non bust of the top three RB's taken his hear, caddillac and cedric benson being the other two...
the only thing miami has depth in is HB
jesse chatman is a gerat backup, and lorenzo booker can contribute very well...
why trade for marion...
more teams dont trade out of the top 5 spots because no one outside of the top 5 will give up what it takes to get into the top 5.
like for a steelers team. they have a pretty solid team overall, they could try to trade up to the top 5, but the teams sitting in the top 5 will ask for more than...
i agree with most, even if SD has a good offense, and a great defense, i'll still have to put indy infront of SD
rivers is still rivers, and manning is still manning....
it'll still be IND's offense vs. our def....
the sd vs pats game will be more fun to watch imo....b/c indy has no...
the patriots are the most hyped team because in their 06 campaign, they were 4 points shy of the superbowl.....with receivers like caldwell, gaffney, and past prime brown....the only receiver that had played in the 05 season was brown, so brady had a new receiving corps, full of unknowns...
well culpepper still has at least 4-5 years of good football left in him....and the fins did invest a 2nd round pick for john beck who is 26, if the dolphins gave culpepper another chance, and he succeeded, then he'd play for another 5 years, and when he'd retire, their qb of the future, john...
you usually see division rivals swap players and what not because of the amount of game planning they do...
its possible, imo it'd be a 2% probability
i think it'd be possible for culpepper to be signed by the bills or jets moreso than the pats, more likely the jets, b/c if they do sign...
anyone else sick of the comparison of manning vs. brady?
most sports analysts are always flip flopping on who is better....2-3 years ago, 9 out of 10 analysts say brady is far better than manning....now that manning finally won a ring, 9 out of 10 say manning is the better...
i even read...
now doubt...the colts org had to surround manning with talent, and went into the 07 offseason with 200k of cap room....and that was when, 10 years later?, he won his first superbowl after coming into the league...and had harrison/wayne has his top two guys for countless years...i say this again...
i'm going to be bold
in:
pats
colts
bears
chargers
eagles
out:
jets - thats where i'm being bold....(since their schedule was pretty much the easiest for playoff contenders, thomas jones or not, good draft or not, i think they'll prove to be big frauds....clemens will probably be...
