I'd love to see Deebo in a Pats uniform. He would make the offense electric. He might be the missing piece, sadly I don't think it will happen.
If a trade were to happen, Deebo might be worth some draft capital, which the 9ers need, a second or third this year and a first next.
Ken, I really enjoy your idle thoughts game analyses.
With the way Miami has been playing and the way the Pat's typically play in Miami, the Pat's may have 4 (not 3) tough games left. I'm concerned about Allen and his running ability and of course Taylor and his quick burst through the line...
At what point did you feel, that they really had a chance to win that game. I was so down at half-time and that was a huge mountain to climb. Was it the Hightower sack, the Edelman miraculous catch or some other play?
I felt the emotion building but was never certain until the game was...
Mac looked good Thursday night. I'm not high on Cam but I think he deserves a chance to show that he can or cannot do the job. His career QB rating is 83, he is what he is at this point. Let Cam start but with a short leash. He may have some utility in goal line situations.
IMHO, at this point, in time a possession receiver will be more important for both Jones and Cam and the Patriots offense. Don't know who that will be yet, maybe a TE, maybe White, maybe Meyers. TB always knew where to locate his possession receiver.
I agree and BB is an old school guy. He seems to prefer 2 TEs and a FB. Stand-up, less mobile QBs are what he likes in his offense. On the other side he appears to want his D to evolve to the point where it can be flexible with either type of offense. But he is stubborn with his type of QB...
If by some reason Fields should drop far enough for BB to make a trade at a reasonable cost, I'd like to see BB take one of the elite LBs that may be on the board. The cost of the QBs would be crazy and that cost would be insane if the pick is a bust.
A move like that would set-back the...
I dunno, many of those games late in the season are difficult to watch especially if one team already has a playoff spot clinched or when one team has #1 draft position already locked up. The NFL already gimmicked up the schedule with this change, not to mention the last year's gimmick of...
Thank you, looks like a lot of work for you to put this together but it's very enlightening. At this point in time it looks like the SEC, ACC and PAC12 are the breeding grounds for Pro QBs.
The NFL could do something creative for the last game. Under the current schedule it seems like some years the last three games are against division teams and by the final game most divisions are set but sometimes the final game has playoff ramifications. Why not take this a step further. For...
Thanks for this info. This is eye opening. Nice job no matter where you gathered the data from. Did you happen to put together anything on RD 1 QB picks for the same time period?
The other side to this, is the G.O.A.T was drafted at 199 in the sixth round. Nothing is certain, some things can be measured and some things can't be measured. Making the best use of the tools you have while strengthening weaknesses, plus the drive to be the best are part of the equation too.
That's the way it could but that's too much IMHO. Jimmy might be the answer, he looks good when he plays but there no denying he appears to be injury prone. I would think 2nd and a 3rd this year and possibly next, would be more than enough. Of course, if it turns into a bidding war, the ante...
At this point, imho, the two biggest needs are a QB and MLB.
I believe it requires too much draft capital to move up to get one of the top ranked QBs. Maybe use 15 to get the best LB available. There should be plenty available if the mocks are anywhere near close to how the draft is going to...
