2011 Patriots draft
I started this doing a full mock of 3 rounds. However, there has been a lot of changes in the past few days. NFL Draft scout revised their grades, Gosselin came out with his Top 100, drug test results from the combine leaked, and there was unfortunate news about Marcus...
First, let me say I am borrowing the title from Dry Heat who entertained us annually with his version of rating prospects for the Patriots.
Second, this began with a list of my "Binkies". This, in no way is supposed to be inclusive. It is just the prospects that I feel would make "good"...

Why Keith Rivers? For me this is a legitimate question. Unlike many of the prospects we rate/ vent at, Keith Rivers has been on our TV practically every Saturday during his tenure at USC. I would guess that I have caught 18- 20 USC games in the last 4 years.
Great measurables-

Well. with the Pats front office trading away a 1st, 2nd, & 3rd the contest admirably organized by Patchick became a serious challenge. Here is our 2nd chance/ consolation prize game where we can pick 10 most likely to wind up as Patriots (@ least we know there will be 4 picks:D ). My picks...
Pats get:

28 Michael Griffin
91 Lorenzo Booker

Borrowing this from another thread where I had posted it:
Usama Young, Kent State- Dean Pees special (as Dean was his former coach). 5-11 1/8, 196. Timed 4.4 speed @ Pro Day, 43” vertical!.
“Young's vertical jump of 43 inches would have been among the best scores of any players in his position...
I was just thinking while I read another thread how we have all adopted players that, as individuals, we really think would become good Patriots. On a baseball message board they "adopt a prospect", and the poster starting a thread is responsible for giving as much information as possible...
Their will probably be a lot of new mocks coming out this week, should we merge them into one thread? Anyway, this is from Todd McShay of Scouts Inc/ espn.com. It is Subscription only.

Bi- Monthly draft checkup
1. Oakland
JaMarcus Russell QB
My only mistake here is in trying to be logical.
2. Detroit
Joe Thomas OT
Matt Millen takes the most sensible route despite himself.
3t. Cleveland
Adrian Peterson RB
RAC has many needs, but Peterson belongs in this spot...
