Don't cut Light. He came out the same time as Bress and protected his blind side at Purdue. He has done a great job over trhe years and 2011 showed no rust on his tires. Brady needs him for at least one more year.
Giants scare me. Most balanced team left. Great Defense, two very good RB's, and some very solid WR's. I would love to see the PATS make it to the big game and win, but as a realist, the Giants have to be the favorites.
wha happened???
4 INT's?, 21-0 lead to start the game? and now they are behind in the 4th qtr. Buffalo is playing a full 60. Pats thought the game was over when it was 21-0.
Guys,
I am freakin' stoked. Can't wait for game 1. I saved enough vaca days to take any day after a late game (lots of them) off. Also, I want the J-E-T-S so bad. I want to see douche bag stick his own foot in his mouth. Problem is he will probably get a chubby.
The more I think about this, the more I can see the reasons why.
The older RB's (Taylor and Morris) probably won't return. "the man" KF may be retiring. RB's take a beating during the year. Getting a speedy RB w/ great hands (Vereen) and a bruiser (Ridley) can replace these older (and slower)...
Carmini can be gotten at 28. Get the best stud DE at 17. 33 could be Pouncey. That will help both sides of the lines tremendously. Then we can focus on the RB's, WR's, and CB's in the late second and 3rd rounds.
At the beginning of the season, many were saying the Pats were a 8-8 team, w/ no one ever saying the Pats would be better the 11-5. The lack of expereince caught up w/ us along w/ one hell of a defensive game plan by Rexie.
We need a stud speed outside d lineman, a big, bruising running...
Re: Will season ending 2009 injuries to the top 2 TEs force BB to look low in the dra
The hell w/ that. If he acts like his name, he will be eating up safeties & corners. Maybe even LB's. :rocker:
Personally, I would sit tight. If the draft is that deep, there will be several 1st rounders dropping. With three picks in the 2nd round, I would rather stockpile a deep draft w/o giving anything up. We have lots of holes, and could use two very solid draft years.
Just spoke to my brother (Head Ath. trainer at state college). He said after looking at it a few times (tivo'd) that it looks like ACL, potentially MCL, and meniscus.
This sucks! I sure hope he is wrong.:(
If I am not mistaken, don't the PATS have three picks in the 2nd round? I would like to see BB stay where he is and load up on talent..period. No backtracking. We have too many holes and 4 picks in the first two rounds could go a long way to filling them...OLB, ILB, CB, OL, DL, TE, RB, and maybe...
Balance and hand technique don't mean much if you can't keep the defender away. Light is slow. I have been watching Vollmer quite a bit in preseason and the first game. He looks good. And he has the psycho attitude most real good OT's need to thrive.
Come on everyone....This is Bill B. we are talking about. This kind of news gets all the other AFC East teams scrambling...I wouldn't be a bit surprised if Billy B. trades down or even out of the 1st round.
