After an excellent free agency and draft, the Patriots appear to be resting on their laurels.
The world champion Bucs are returning all their starters on offense and defense plus Antonio
Brown and most of their reserves. They appear to have a decent draft. Interesting, they
felt the need to...
One of the draft experts, Max Zeirlein
One of the draft gurus, Lance Zierlein, picked Nixon as a 7th round surprise. Ernie Adams was
also a fan of Nixon. Supposed to be able to get open.
I just wonder why, except for Harry, the Patriots seem to have an aversion every year to drafting
highly ranked wide receivers. It carrys over to the UDFAs where they pass on the higher ranked
wide receivers.
Troll here. Best draft in years. BB took a lot of chances and got players
who dropped in the draft. A top notch wide receiver would have made
it a perfect draft.
The problem with playing the waiting game is all the good UDFAs will be gone.
Maybe they're re-signing one or two of their own free agents.
This might be what they are planning. They still have about eight unsigned players.
My gripe with Harry is how he is dominated by much smaller defensive backs. Today, I saw one
of his pre-draft releases which included a video. He was terrific and not the same player I have been watching for two years.
With a bottom of the barrel WR corps, I hope they address this position.
With the exception of Agholor, there is very little speed at WR. Like last year this draft is loaded with speedy receivers.
