As a Jets fan who rarely posts here but enjoys reading...a couple of thoughts.
The real question will be how will Welker/Gonzalez/Tate perform with coverages rolling in totally different ways? Welker is now going to face constant double coverage, at least until Tate makes someone pay. Also...
As much as I would like Brady to have lost it forever, it is probably a little early for anyone to make this declaration. He is human, and it will just take some time...I'm sure he will be far better next year, barring any additional injuries this year.
Pats fans have been spoiled, the only...
Re: OT: Jets owner thanks fans with gift, Rex gives Fireman Ed game ball from Super B
Funny stuff...
No doubt that since 2002, the Pats have been a better football team than the Jets (see Mo Lewis). But, when you want to get into a discussion on fans, Pats lose big time.
The Jets have sold...
Another Jets fan checking in...here you go from my pov.
Sanchez was impressive last week, and has been impressive so far overall. Highest compliment I can give him is that he moves in the pocket like Brady and has an accurate, strong arm. Actually, the comparisons between the background of...
Not sure what you are saying...I'm not really envious of what will be a complicated situation for the Pats.
As for the Playoffs...careful what you wish for.:D
First, congrats on this even being an issue...Cassel is really playing far beyond what anyone expected.
If the Pats tag him, I bet they will own him for the year...especially if the ask is a first round pick. I think with the success of Ryan and Flacco, teams will not be anxious to part with...
If the video that came out of this camera was of the opposing teams coaches, it would be identical to the current situation. Here's the thing...he is shooting his own coach.
If Goodell opened up the sealed box, popped in the video this week and saw lots of pictures of BB and his staff, do...
I doubt it...
When this is settled, BB will be suspended for a game or two, the Pats will lose a draft pick or two, and the season will go on. You'll continue to think BB walks on water, and you'll blame his transgressions on others to validate your feelings for him.
As for hiding, not sure...
I don't dislike BB, I don't even know him. I do know that if he needs illegal help to win (and you can not dispute this activity is illegal, regardless of how impactful you think it is) it calls into question his ethics and ultimately his ability ..which is sad because I think he is a great...
So a messageboard is reserved for rah rah homers who are totally blind to the fact that their coach did something against the rules?
Which part of my post makes me an idiot? The point I made that the signal theft didn't cause the Jets to lose? Or was it the point I made that the Pats are...
Why believe Mangini more than BB...
- Cheats on wife with secretary
- Takes a $1million bonus to remain with Jets from late Leon Hess, resigns as HC one day into the job after having already negotiated a contract with NE
- Prevents his assistants from interviewing for HC jobs until NFL puts...
What fantasy land? I was at the game, the Pats won, and I doubt it was due to stolen signals.
Mangini could go 0-16 this year, his job is intact. He doesn't need to take attention away from himself...he actually said exactly what BB says when they lose (none of us did a good job, coaches...
Charlie Weis and Romeo Crennel have the opportunity to make their own names, as does Mangini. Crennel has done more to damage his career with his performance as a HC than this incident could ever provide.
You state how the truth will emerge...how do you know what it is? What if they have...
Fascinating week, if nothing else it is very entertaining. Obviously, this is a tough situation for Pats fans, wanted to offer a different perspective.
There seem to be several "camps", each leading to some questions.
- Camp 1 is the "even if they did it, it couldn't help them camp". I...
A little sensitive? First, I don't think I "took a shot at" the Pats organization...I said that it has been terrific for 5 years. But 5 years is not forever, and things can and will change. I pointed out that the success has been a product of a combination of things, but there are many good...
Ok....I think this notion of the Pats "Organization" being so incredible is a little overstated. The Pats have had a good run in the last 5 years. During that time, you were fortunate that a 6th round QB became an unqualified star (remember that BB has never won without Brady at the helm), and...
A week ago, everyone here was saying how he would never leave NE, Bill would talk him out of it, he has likely been told he is the next HC of the Pats.
Boy, things change in a week, don't they?
No one knows if he is going to good or bad, we'll see over the next few years. But at least...
