I love this line at the end to: "In view of the Court's determinations regarding the inadequacy of notice and discovery afforded to Brady, the Court does not reach Brady's other claims." In other words, there was so many Goodell did terribly wrong here, we didn't even bother exploring them all.
I'm reading the decision, just great stuff all the way through. I love that Berman is making it crystal clear that even if Brady had been caught red-handed deflating a ball, the only legal response by the NFL would have been a fine of $5,512! Brady should send him a damn check!
I kind of feel sorry for him, you can tell that he is trying so hard not to say anything negative or inflammatory but he just doesn't have the oration skills so he ends up saying things a little wrong, and of course people then pick it apart word for word.
Good point, although it seems rare that Belichick's Browns are given credit for the success of the Ravens, when indeed the foundation was being built back then. Instead, it seems that Belichick's Browns are considered an utter failure.
Art Modell, right?
And wasn't Ozzie Newsome on the personnel staff? I thought that BB and that group pretty much developed the scouting/personnel system that has made the Ravens so successful.
Homerish, I realize, but it always seemed like that Browns organization was on the rise until...
I was surprised when I actually saw this video--it was a pretty wimpy "fight" and it seemed like Jeffrey was more aggressive. Not saying they shouldn't have gotten kicked out, but it was pretty minor--less than a good-old Matt Light scuffle.
I hope so. In past years this was standard at patsfans, but in recent years the mods have been merging such threads. I'm usually in favor of thread merging, but I think it's very nice having individual threads for each pick (perhaps moved to draft forum after a few days).
Merry Draft Day to all...
Yes, but not quite, here's a quote from nfl.com:
Meanwhile, the Jets' playoff hopes took a devastating hit. At 8-7, they'll need to win at Miami next week and get major help from several other teams. They have to hope for Cincinnati and Tennessee to lose, and have either Oakland or Denver lose...
Uh, I'm messing with yahoo's playoff generator and I think the Jets need to beat Miami and losses by Cinci, Oakland, AND, Tennessee.
Am I missing something?
Re: Pats move ahead of 'Phins for most AFC East Titles (w/ a Fascinating Jets Footnot
I wish someone had enough time to waste to put together a 2011 post of the year poll thread.
This one gets my vote, just beautiful!! :singing:
Go 49ers. It just feels right, with too many "what ifs" to root for the Steelers.
Ahem... if anyone happened to PM me a link for a stream, it'd be quite a coincidence since my espn doesn't seem to working...
Thumbs up on the enthusiasm. I certainly can see a long-term situation where Solder starts but frequently rotates to tackle eligible, and maybe even catches a few passes if they can get him coached up for it. Why not? You know BB would do it if he liked it.
