So far Edleman has 9 receptions for 94 yards (start of the 4th qtr)...Seems like the Pats have not missed a beat with Welker going down. I liked Edleman in the preseason. He showed similar instincts as Welker, and you still have Randy to double team.
If Welker is done for the season (hopeing...
Do any of you remember the times when Tony Eason would have to run out of the tunnel with his helmet on because fans would throw all kinds of crap at him????
Now that I think of it several players would have to do the same when running onto the field from the tunnel...
Goin' back a few...
Well said my friend!
I've been advocating the same thoughts about Cassel, however your post is much more eloquent and fact driven. I too see many similarities between Tom and Matt, in thier respective first seasons, and also look for something along the lines of a 2001 campaign. I've been a...
Well, there goes one of the bandwagoneers!!! How many more can we get rid of now!!! Don't let the door slam you in the _ss as you leave!
I've been a true Red, White and Blue fan since 1971!!! Have I been spoiled over the past 7 years? You Bet and loved every minute of it! But, hey, It's not...
That's the entire point!!! Tom came in for Drew back in 01' and everyone was saying the same about Tom at that point!!!
He's not Tom! I get that! But also remember Tom wasn't Drew either!
GIVE THE KID A CHANCE!!! Tom's a proven winner after 7 seasons! This is Cassels 2nd start and 3rd...
How come nobody is bringing up all the games where Tom Laid a big fat egg. How bout' the Miami game a few seasons ago where we blew an 11 point lead with 4 minutes left.
Does anybody remember Tom getting smacked and throwing the game winning interception right to Miami. Huh??? Anybody...
Everyone on this board that's dogging Cassel is either a badwagoner or just plain stupid. When Brady took over for Drew back in 2001 he didn't look any better. They spoke about it during the game about how Tom got his ass handed to him by Miami on his second start.
Flashback 2001...OMG...
I stand with you. Cassel is a work in progress. The defensive coaches let us down today. Offensive coaches need to provide proper protection for Matt as well. Terrible day all around but Matt looked a lot like the young Tom Brady of 2001...IMHO
I know what you mean. I visited the Cowboys, Pittsburgh, Colts and Chargers forums last evening and the major subjects were "how the refs sealed the win" for the Patriots. As I watched the game, I thought the refs were going to cost us the game. How ironic.....
Great game though! Wow!!!
I believe AD will still maintain his inside position at LB rotation, maybe a few spots opposite Vrabel. I see Chad Brown playing mostly opposite Vrabel as he is about as good as Alexander in the middle. He has good quickness like Vrabel from the outside to either put pressure on the QB or attack...
That's what I'm thinking...I've always noticed in previous games that he was jawwing at someone or a group...I've not seen this tonight! Wonder what's up?
Will the rest of the season be anti-climatic? The only other meaningful game, I see, will be the meeting with Pitt. Will the Pats regress or will BB be able to keep the players eyes on the Trophy?
Your thoughts.....
There are several "mumblings" that CJ does want out of Cincy at the end of this year. No dought, BB will go after this guy strong! That said, I also see NE keeping the WR Tandem that they currently have. The only ones on the bubble I see are Brown, Jackson and Gaffney. Moss, Stallworth and...

I have a weakness for world conquest, which may explain my fascination with the New England Patriots. You can have the sentimental underdog; I'll take the dynasty or the empire...
