Re: ESPN Boston: Morris to IR
I'd think it will generate some workout invites and maybe a practice squad move, but perhaps no more of a response than that.
Evans likely sees more work now, and Faulk perhaps as well.
Now we know why Tom Walsh is sitting on his ranch in Idaho and not working in football.
Managing people is a huge part of being a coordinator/coach. Some guys get that, some don't.
"The lawsuit is so patently frivolous and the plaintiff probably delusional that it's just absurd. Anyone can file pretty much anything in "federal court" if they pay the filing fee. It doesn't make it news."
I almost think that it's more likely there are sanctions against the plaintiff here...
Re: Belichick Extended !!!!!!!!!!!
I imagine it was agreed to quite a while ago as well; the real message here, I think, is that the two of them decided to leak it now to send a message to everyone that the Pats were all on the same page and are looking forward as one united organization...
Re: Belichick Extended !!!!!!!!!!!
This is the clearest statement of Kraft's true opinion of this whole thing that we are going to get, I think.
Anyone wanna speculate whether there's a signing bonus for the extension in the amount of, oh, say, $500,000?
Re: Jets messageboard in chaos
I don't think the Pats had much need of stealing signals today. But I do hope the Jets spend a lot of energy worrying about that being the problem, that's for sure.
One question is whether they figure between Jackson (as they do know his true health status, unlike us) and a later-round flyer they can get a deep threat as well.
I'm not totally sure they agree with us on the need for a deep threat, either. I have been concerned about that last year and...
I think it's worth more to be a good soldier publically and raise your issues privately for the most part.
Also, I'd think the most relevant thing to target would be the competition committee...insuring a Pat ends up on it and Polian, in particular, is not on it going forward.
The one thing to consider tactically is the Pats will want to complete a deal with Graham before they have to officially announce the tag for Samuel. Because, until the tag is done officially, they can hold over both players the possibility of the tag versus the option of signing for more...
I think the Pats beat Indy 6 times out of ten on a neutral field. I know what happened this year both times, and I simply don't see that it is likely to occur often. The Pats had a significant deficit in terms of health both games, and they had awful officiating in the first game. Even with...
If that's it, the Chargers look worse than I thought.
I can certainly believe Colvin, Wilfork, Hobbs or someone did something truly inappropriate that justifies the kind of response LT had. But if they did, it sure isn't in that video.
The worst behavior on that video by far is that of...
Re: Should FCC Investigate the Globe/NYTimes Sox Ownership vs. It's Patriots Coverage
This is preposterous. No one regulates the way private entities allocate their resources; if you don't like the Globe, vote with your feet (and eyes) and cease reading it.
The reason the Sox get more...
Seems like good news for the Pats on a couple of levels.
First, Miami is going to likely take an immediate step back as they switch systems and 'leaders'
Second, it lets Saban and BB go back to talking defense each offseason, which has to be good.
Third, it puts another college coach in...
Vince definitely had a good year, and potentially will be a truly great QB...I suspect he already 'gets it' in a way that many QBs don't.
But you don't beat good NFL defenses anywhere near as easily as you beat USC or Big 12 defenses, Vince...that's what you learned today. Make five...
"Borges says he is hearing that the Texans will try to lure him down there and that he might be interested in the job."
Why on earth would Belichick have the slightest interest in going to Houston?
He's not from there. He's never spent any real time there. The owner is a question mark...
Their 'analysis' of the Pats two-pt conversion was absolutely comical. It took ten seconds to look at the scoreboard, add "1" and ask what the difference would be, then do the same with '2' and figure out that there was absolutely no point in kicking there.
Yet, these two dimwits immediately...
Harrison and Wilson returning, healthy, would do a good bit to alleviate my concerns here, too.
Seau/Vrabel + Hawkins + Sanders are a weaker run group than Vrabel/TBC + Harrison + Wilson, seems to me. The replacement safeties have been pretty solid in the passing game, but MUCH less involved...
